📣 Big News at By The Beach Dog Grooming! 📣

We’re officially rolling out our brand‑new Australian‑made booking system from Synarii, Built by groomers, for groomers. This upgrade is all about making your booking experience faster, smoother, and way less chaotic for everyone.

You’ll also notice a new face (well… voice) around here.
Meet Mia, our new AI assistant. She’ll be helping with phone calls and text messages, answering booking questions, and guiding you through the process 24/7. She doesn’t sleep, she doesn’t take lunch breaks, and she doesn’t get covered in dog hair so she’s always ready to help.

We’ve transferred all existing appointments into the new system, but as we all know, technology sometimes likes to throw a little tantrum. If anything looks odd or goes missing, I apologise in advance while I get used to the new setup.

Thanks for hanging in there and being patient while everything settles.
Big upgrades mean big improvements and I’m excited for you all to meet Mia and enjoy a smoother booking experience.

A beautiful soul from our grooming family has had to farewell her precious boy of 16 years. Losing a companion like that leaves such a big space in your heart.
She’s now gently looking for a new little friend a Shih Tzu or Shih Tzu mix, preferably 2+ years old to love and cherish.

😺 Weekend Show Results Miss Summer Reign Shining

Our little show kitty Summer Reign had another wonderful weekend and she’s proving more and more that she’s going to be an incredible little show girl.
She was the only female in the Maine C**n kitten class and also the youngest, and she still held her own beautifully.

Here’s how she went:

Ring 1: Reserve Maine C**n • 7th Overall
Ring 2: Reserve Maine C**n • 8th Overall
Ring 3: No placing, but still showed with confidence

We are so proud of how she’s developing sweet temperament, gorgeous presence, and she’s taking every show in her stride.
She’s definitely showing all the signs of becoming a fantastic little show kitty.

Our girl Summer absolutely shone at her second Cats Queensland show at Acacia Ridge and I couldn’t be prouder of her!
She strutted her stuff, charmed every judge, and walked away with some gorgeous ribbons and prizes.

Summer did so well at 19 weeks old, she’s growing into such a confident, beautiful show kitten. My heart is bursting.

Very upsetting to see another groomer attacking another groomer, Kirsty at filthy mutts is an absolute asset to the grooming community in Rockhampton with her high standards and loyal customer following. We are in such a small area and it’s upsetting to see one of our wonderful groomers being targeted over jealousy.

Well… this is a new level 😂

Its now come to my attention that this other local business has spent over $600 trademarking not one, but TWO versions of my business name.

Yep. My business name, same two that have been registered through ASIC too not by my business, so its clear that its all connected, and its weird (i own Filthy Mutts Grooming, not with a AU at the end and not with the mobile dog in its name) 😂

And I genuinely had to laugh. Its awkward.

I've never personally seen the point in spending hundreds of dollars trademarking Filthy Mutts. Not because I don't value my business, quite the opposite. I've just always believed my business speaks for itself.

My name is well established. My work is recognisable. My clients know exactly who I am and what Filthy Mutts is, its my little grooming business, it doesn't have any affiliations with other companies, its not a sister business, it doesn't provide any other goods or services other then me pampering your dogs. I've built this business over years through hard work, consistency and reputation.

I'd personally rather put that money back into my business, my equipment, my dogs and the things that actually improve the service I provide my clients.

I've stayed quiet for a long time because I don't like airing drama on my business page. This page is for my dogs, my work and my clients.

But when things escalate to the point of another business spending hundreds of dollars trademarking versions of my name, I feel like it's probably time people were made aware of just how far this has gone.
I'm not naming and shaming, I'm not trying to tear down another business, I'm speaking about MY business and what I HAVE built.

To me, it doesn't reflect badly on Filthy Mutts. I think someone's actions and the lengths they're willing to go to speak volumes about them all on their own.

This is the last time I'll give this any more air because honestly its not worth my time. The cards will fall where they're meant to eventually, and I'm going straight back to doing what I do best, grooming dogs, looking after my clients and continuing to build the business I actually created.

We want to make all our amazing customers aware that fake accounts are now targeting local dog‑grooming businesses. These scammers are copying business names, creating look‑alike pages, and even using stolen email addresses to trick people into booking and paying deposits.

This week, our wonderful friend Kirsty from Filthy Mutts Grooming has been targeted first by a fake page pretending to be her business, and now by another page using her email address.

Please be careful when booking.
Always double check you’re speaking with the real business and NEVER send money.
If something feels off, trust your gut and reach out directly through their official page or phone number.

Let’s protect each other and stop these scammers from taking advantage of our community.
