We’ve upgraded the lounge experience at the clinic with our brand-new dog couch — and let’s just say it’s already a hit with our furry visitors! 🛋️💕

Bert, Beryl, and Lucy have all taken it for a test nap, and the verdict is in: 𝟏𝟎/𝟏𝟎 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐲𝐥𝐞! 😍🐶✨

Whether they’re waiting for their appointment or just enjoying a chill moment, our patients now have a cozy spot to relax — and we love seeing them so happy!

GOOD NEWS FOR STONNINGTON PETS 🎉🎉🎉

The energy in Malvern Town Hall last night was tense. Passionate. Inspiring.

So enormous was the turnout that many were packed into the overflow room watching the livestream.

Several amazing people (including our own PMC powerhouse, Jennifer Hunt) addressed the Council in support of the recommendation to extend the SADS contract. Their speeches were meticulous and DEEPLY moving, causing some tears and a whole lot of cheering!!

It was truly a roller coaster — and we really didn’t know what to expect.

But the recommendation PASSED with just 5 yes votes to 4 no.

This means that the no-kill shelter, SADS, will continue serving the pet-crazy Stonnington community for another 12 months. Meanwhile, an Animal Management Taskforce will form and report to the Council at the end of this year.

So here’s a very happy Jen outside town hall with a PMC beneficiary-turned-friend, Scott. Jen ended up being such a powerful voice for the animals, and I know she worked tirelessly alongside other advocates. We are all INCREDIBLY proud to be on her team.

Here’s to everyone who made this happen — we’re in awe of the strong community spirit and relentless determination for animal welfare!! 🥳🎉❤️

Sweet Biana is at our vet clinic today for X-rays as part of her JPS (Juvenile P***c Symphysiodesis) screening. She’s being such a brave girl, and we’re making sure she gets all the care she needs! Sending her all the love and cuddles ❤️

When you walk into the vet and realise you forgot to make an appointment… but still expect treats! 🐾😂

How cute is Bruno! 💕 He actually did have an appointment for a sore tail and we hope he’s starting to feel much better after treatment (& liver treats of course ☺️) 💙

It is reported that microchipping company Home Safe ID (QLD based) is closing or has closed. This means that any animals chipped through them will no longer be recognised when scanned unless they are transferred over to another microchip registration company.

When we visited their website to check if they were active, the host of the site mentions they have stopped communication and/or paying for the hosting of their website and it will likely go offline in the future (www.homesafeid.com).

If your pet has originated from interstate or you do not know which chip registry they belong to, we highly recommend you check their chip details ASAP. To find out which microchip registry your pets details are held under, you can visit www.petaddress.com.au. When an animal is lost then scanned, this is the website their chip details are entered into to see which chip registry the animal belongs to.

Should you need to change your chip registry, we recommend that you change over to have them registered with Central Animal Records (CAR) for a fee of $12. You can reach them via www.car.com.au or ph 03 9706 3187 🐾
