This week, our beautiful Truffle Bear left for his forever home, marking the last kitten to leave from this season's litters. While we're so excited for him and his new family, there's no denying the house feels a little quieter now 🐾

The pitter-patter of tiny paws has faded, the kitten toys aren't being chased across the floor quite as often, and the daily kitten chaos that fills our home with so much joy has come to a gentle pause ✨

For those who may not know, British Shorthairs are seasonal breeders, with breeding activity increasing as the days become longer and warmer. As we move into the cooler months, our queens will enjoy a well-deserved break, along with our handsome stud boys, who I'm sure won't mind a little time off either 🤭

While the nursery may be quieter for now, our hearts are already looking forward to spring and all the beautiful kittens we hope to welcome in the next breeding season 🌸

Our sweet future queen, Lalina Moon, gentle, affectionate, and already so patient with our daughter🐾

There’s something so special about watching children grow up alongside animals, the quiet companionship, the comfort, the soft little moments that slowly become childhood memories ✨

Lalina has such a loving and calm nature. Always nearby, always wanting to be involved, and never too far from where the cuddles are 🤍

This is exactly why our cats are so much more than just pets to us. They become part of the family, woven into everyday life and some of our most cherished memories 🫶🏻🐾

Our beautiful Boo with her boy Prince. Watching your kittens grow into adults never loses its magic… especially when little pieces of their parents shine through in them 🐾

Boo has always had such a calm, gentle soul, and Prince has grown into the sweetest boy, affectionate, curious, and always wanting to be involved in whatever is happening around him ✨

These two are such a beautiful reminder of why we fell in love with the breed in the first place 🤍

One of the questions we get asked the most here at Precious British Purrs is… “What litter do you use?” 🐾

After trying what feels like endless different litters over the years, we’ve finally found one that genuinely works for our home and cattery ✨

If you remember our sweet boy Percy… 💙🐾

Life became even sweeter when his little brother Achilles (now lovingly known as Bagherra) joined the family 🖤

Seeing these beautiful boys together fills our hearts in a way that’s hard to put into words, not just because of how loved they are, but because they’re growing up surrounded by the kind of home every breeder hopes for ✨

This Mother’s Day, updates like this remind me that motherhood comes in so many forms. The nurturing, the sleepless nights, the letting go, and then the overwhelming joy of seeing them thrive in the arms of families who love them just as deeply as we do 🤍🐾
