As this was the last of the Garry semen, these stunning females were initially held back by us to assess what attributes we are breeding.

The idea was if either presented as a far better female than Boots from our O litter Vonrook OJay, we’d consider keeping her.

We have been agonising over this decision. As breeders we can’t keep and work them all. With more of our Vonrook dogs filtering into the sporting arena we understand that to best test what we are producing these dogs should be placed in homes where they can be developed to their full potential and thrive…. We cannot do it all so with hope and optimism we offer these two beauties to the sporting enthusiasts and or experienced homes. We are also incredibly grateful that the two male siblings from this litter have both gone on to excellent working homes…

Firstly Vonrook Queenie. Our black female. Environmentally sound with good nerve.
She is a high drive female. Good prey drive, agile and very quick. Easy to frustrate and engage and excellent at drive switching. She has a good bite and does direct that onto ankles which we have not corrected. She’ll make a nice sporting prospect or a nice family dog for an experienced owner who wants to train in IGP or possible scent work, AKNC or what ever.

Vonrook Quizzie. The sable female. She is smaller in stature. High prey drive. Very good nerves. Extremely agile. A little more independent. Extremely handler friendly doesn’t latch on to everything w***y nilly but has a good bite and holds well. She is more dominant and bossy than her sister. She would also do well in work. IGP ANKC ect. Already wanting to track.

Both females have an off switch and ability to live within a home environment. Both can be activated in prey then flipped over to sit in your lap without all the leaking and fuss. The influence of Garry seems to be the clarity and inner calmness these pups and Boots display.

Ideally we would like to see them working and part of loving homes.

“One small step completed. Jazzie passed her BH last weekend. My little Vonrook M litter “Missy” did so well, even after it started raining half way through the long down. Jazzie even decided to try a new move for the about turn we had not discussed previously 🤦‍♂️. All in all it went very well. While a small step forward - it’s a big thing to step out to be judged and it feels good to get it done. After a week of no training we are back at it. Thanks Vonrook Working Line German Shepherds for this beautiful, challenging and throughly enjoyable dog….”

Thank you to our wonderful dog sport community!! We watched something rather spectacular over the weekend… the combined IGP trial with Melbourne Dog Sport and Eagle Heights.

Little Sophie our black collar female from the P litter getting off to a cracking start with her training and socialisation.

All families who have puppies are hopefully already attending or booked in to puppy training and are ticking off a few activities a week from the critical socialisation check list!

It’s that important!!!

“Good morning Nikki and Jamie, it’s Maisy here just checking in 👋

I can’t believe it’s been a week in my new home! My hooman parents equally love me to bits but I’m a bit of a Mummy’s girl at the moment 🙊

Mum and Dad took me to get a check up on Weds at McIvor Rd vet. I am doing amazing and am going back again next Weds for 2nd vax. I hope they don’t put this weird thing into my behind again though 🫣

So far my favourite things to do aside from all the cuddles, are going to Bunnings and total tools. The footy is a bit boring and I sleep the whole time but don’t tell my Dad that 🙊

I have all of the best toys but my favourite is playing with my late brother’s ball and the edge of the rug inside. Mum says this funny word in a different voice but it’s really hard to stop when I want something. She offers me something I can have but it’s just not the same 😬. I am getting better at resisting temptation though 😬

My Dad built me a kennel that we call “Maisys dream house” it’s very cool but until they paint the front of it pink and my name on the front, I prefer to sleep out the front of it and just play in it instead 🫠🫠

Now that I’m all settled in we are looking at some training options for me. We are thinking we will give Mark Murray a call and go with him.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR B LITTER.

Sire and dam were MAX and MILLIE.

Happy times years ago on our farm. I could watch these two for hours.

Millie is gone now but never forgotten. Max will be 10 in October.

Look at these magnificent dogs in their prime.

The hard part is always the end. 🌈

Producing puppies comes at great cost and sacrifice. Especially to the bi***es.

Our B Litter were a csec and there were 15 live puppies. My Millie Von Jarntu Banaka left a wonderful legacy in her progeny who have gone on to continue to produce wonderful family dogs and working dogs. Every day we share in the lives of these amazing dogs through our owners group. We are so blessed.

And Max… Von Zane AAMaxx. Our rock. The calm and stable influence in our lines. Where will we be when he is gone? His breeding days are done.

So happy birthday to our amazing B litter. To all who are still here and to those who have passed.
We still own Vonrook Belle. She has given us two litters. She gave us Jojo who I titled last year. Her sister Storm, Vonrook B Miss Mayhem gave us the F litter and Jamie’s pride and joy Jetta. Vonrook Fury and Maya who also got her BH. The first to do so from our Kennels. There are others from Storm who have gone on to produce for other breeders as well…
Then there’s Lilly who produced a litter for us with Regalhaus Quest. They produced Jazzie who just got her BH. Of course Vonrook Barney also came from this litter. If you haven’t seen Barney and the amazing dog he is just search our page… there were others owned by other breeders too.
This litter was an incredible experience for us and we are so grateful for all our dogs. We were incredibly lucky to have owned them.

This beautiful pup is bold and confident. Well socialised. Great presence, adaptable and calm with kids already.

He had been reserved since before the litter was born by a beautiful family very familiar with the lines.

Unfortunately the timing proved very difficult as they had just brought a newborn home.

They made the difficult decision to give up their place on the waiting list.

This boy is one of the pick males. He is 9 weeks old.

We would prefer this boy go to a home with some breed experience where he will be trained and part of the family.

Another beautiful autumn day to socialise puppies. 🍁

We mix the P and Q remaining pups to make sure they continue to thrive learning from pups that match their drive and size. Soon enough the last 4 P litter babies will be heading home.

The benefits of these social interactions is young dogs knowing how to play well. These sessions are ALWAYS supervised. We don’t just “let them work it out…”. It’s important that the larger pack don’t try to mob the smaller pack. It’s important balance is maintained and pups play well.

Happy to say both litters are confident and social puppies. Only a couple of “time outs” for the little thugs who didn’t play nice 😆❤️🐾
