Trialling is a very difficult thing for me.
Visual aids and prompts to help me remember the routines are big help. I hope to trial both Jojo and Boots this year and we are all working hard.

I did not teach her to run around the blind. She just kept doing it. First a figure 8 around both blinds which I watched amazed…. Then by the time I filmed her she still went round one blind.

Jamie and Jetta!

This is their initial group training session with Refine Your Canine….

They have been training for the BH exam and Jamie wants to make sure Jetta remains neutral and she can work undistracted around a lot of different dogs.

This is part of Jetta learning to keep working and to focus on the job. He wants her to be RELIABLE so that when they go for their trials they don’t need to worry about the dogs on the field or anything unexpected.

In the dog sport IGP (Internationale Gebrauchshund Prüfung), BH stands for Begleithundprüfung (German for "companion dog test"). It is the mandatory preliminary temperament and basic obedience test. A dog must pass the BH before it is allowed to compete in any official IGP levels.

The BH has been a critical entry level test for many years. A bench mark of the dogs temperament and working ability…
