Yesterday evening we held our final team meeting for the year.

We had the pleasure of welcoming Beth from Farran Street Education, who ran their Between the Flags workshop with us. It was honest, energising, and exactly what we needed to pause, reflect, and reconnect as a team.

The workshop focused on stepping into a team culture built on accountability, positivity, and shared success. We explored the attitudes and behaviours that help us show up for each other, and for the children and families we care for every day.

It was a beautiful reminder of what we’re building together.
Grateful for the laughter, the honesty, and the space to grow together as team. 🔅🔅

On Wednesday, 17th of September, our 4-year-old Kinder room, Warriin, had a visit from Ditto Bravehearts. Ditto’s Keep Safe Adventure Program is a fun and effective personal safety education program, curriculum-aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and the Australian Curriculum. Bravehearts’ Ditto’s Keep Safe Adventure Show teaches young children essential personal safety skills using age-appropriate language, song, and dance.

The Ditto Show teaches children about:

Differentiating safe and unsafe feelings
Recognising the body’s warning signs
Body ownership and that it is okay to say no
Helping children name public and private parts using anatomically correct names
Reinforcing that there is no secret that children cannot tell someone
What to do if you feel unsafe or unsure
To support the children’s learning further, there is also a game that, through scenarios and play, teaches children important personal safety skills in a non-confrontational, enjoyable way. Each scenario is underpinned by Ditto’s 3 Keep Safe Rules:

We all have the right to feel safe with people
It’s okay to say no if you feel unsafe or unsure
Nothing is so yucky that you can’t tell someone about it
Please find an example of the game via this link:

📣 📣 Important Information – CCS Changes from January 2026 📣📣

From 5 January 2026, all families eligible for the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) will be guaranteed at least 72 hours (≈ three days) of subsidised care per fortnight, even if they do not meet the current activity-test requirements.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children will continue to be eligible for 100 hours per fortnight regardless of activity level.

Families will still need to cover the usual out-of-pocket “gap fee” differences charged by providers.

More information about the CCS activity test changes is available via Services Australia.

We had a lovely end to celebrating our Book Week last week, the rooms had some beautiful group time interactions reading themed books as well as some of the books the children bought in from home. They had some amazing experiences and activities each day for the children to participate in which seemed to be a big hit!

Well done for Monique, Bianca and Kyrstyn winning the last two days of our ‘Best Dressed’

Next Wednesday 3rd of September is Educators Day! If you haven’t had a chance, please take a moment to visit the area we’ve set up on the events table.

We warmly welcome and encourage families to take one of the cards provided, write the name of one educator and a positive message, and place it in the box provided.

These lovely messages will be collated and gifted to the educators they’re written for. You’re welcome to write messages for multiple educators—just ensure it’s one educator per card 🙂

If you don’t have time to write a card, feel free to email the service directly with your message, and we’ll pass it on.

Have you seen our new Child Safe Standards wall, created by our wonderful kinder teacher Teegan?

It’s a beautiful reflection of our commitment to safety and inclusion, and we’re so proud of the work Teegan has done.

Also, underneath our QIP shelf in the hallway, we’ve placed a question we’d love families to answer using the rocks and jar provided.
Your input is valuable and helps shape our shared vision for continuous improvement.
