Today we celebrate the birthday of Sir David Attenborough - someone who has inspired generations to look closer, care deeper, and protect the animals we share this world with. 🌎🐾

His lifelong dedication to wildlife and conservation is a reminder that animal welfare is not a momentary act - it’s an ongoing commitment. One that so many in the veterinary industry dedicate their lives to, every single day.

Behind every patient is a team of vets and nurses who give their time, compassion, knowledge, and energy to advocate for those who cannot speak for themselves.

Here’s to the generations inspired already - and the many more still to come. 🤍

Happy birthday 🥳

📖 Story time 📖

Recently, we received a call about a young cow tangled in fencing.
So, Dr Mark and Nurse Emilee set off on a bit of an adventure to find her.

After plenty of searching, walking, and jumping fences, they finally came across her—caught in an old pile of fencing, overlooking the coastline.

She quickly realised they were there to help, and within just a few minutes, she was safely freed.

No cuts, no injuries, and able to weight bear straight away.

A very positive outcome after a long but worthwhile adventure. 🤗

Calicivirus (RHDV) will be released for wild rabbit control in NSW in Early March 2026!

It only affects rabbits, but unvaccinated pet rabbits are at risk.

Make sure your rabbit’s Filavac vaccination is up to date before then to help protect them.

You can phone us to check your Rabbits vaccine scheduling or book your appointment (via phone or online).

Meet our hero for today - Ned the English Staffy. 🩷🩸

Ned came in, tail wagging, ready to donate blood - to help us save lives. 🤗

He loved his comfy bed, cuddles and endless praise from our team.

After a short stay, he proudly left with his Blood Donor bandana and bag of treats.
His human parents also received a $100 credit for their file! 🤩

Dogs like Ned help us to save lives - other people’s best friends and family. 🩷

Thank you, Ned - you’re a true hero 🥰

We’re always looking to add names to our blood donor list.
If you have a little super hero that fits our criteria, contact us (02) 4232 1221.
** You can see our criteria in the comments below.
