What an incredible day at Paws for a Cause 🐾

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, supported, donated, showcased with a stall, volunteered, and helped make the event such a success. From the wagging tails to the amazing community spirit, it was a reminder of how much can be achieved when people come together for a good cause.

Two is always better than one! 👯‍♀️🐾

Just look at the absolute beaming smiles on these faces! For today’s , we are celebrating a double dose of happiness because Billie and Blossom are officially heading home together.

There is something incredibly special about taking home a duo, and seeing these two kids proudly holding up the official adoption paperwork right next to the carrier just melts our hearts. These lucky little ones are about to get so much love, playtime, and endless cuddles in their new forever home.

A massive thank you to this wonderful family for opening their hearts to not just one, but two shelter animals! You are truly part of the joy.

It’s the quietest heartbreak in the shelter. The sound of footsteps walking past, the hopeful meows that go unanswered, and the crushing realisation that yet another family has chosen to take someone else home. 💔

For these seven incredible cats, waiting has become their everyday reality. Together, they have spent over 1,800 days in our care, watching hundreds of other cats pack their bags while they stay behind.

🐾 Angelique (1 yr) – 355 days. She has spent almost her entire life in a shelter.
🐾 Zinnia (10 yrs) – 317 days. A sweet soul watching her golden years slip by.
🐾 Spot (4 yrs) – 295 days. Overlooked time and time again.
🐾 Bron (12 yrs) – 257 days. A gentle senior who just wants a warm lap to rest on.
🐾 Honolulu (1 yr) – 223 days. Young, beautiful, and still waiting to be chosen.
🐾 Worcestershire (8 yrs) – 211 days. A handsome boy ready for his second chance.
🐾 Al Pacino (3 yrs) – 164 days. Full of character, just waiting for the right audience.

They aren't broken. They haven't done anything wrong. They simply haven't been seen by the right person yet.

We are asking our community to rally for them. If you’ve been thinking about adding a feline friend to your family, please be the reason one of these cats finally gets to leave.

It's Wishlist Wednesday! This week, we are focusing on keeping our dogs entertained and comforted. Engaging toys are crucial for reducing shelter stress and bringing joy to our pups while they wait for their forever homes.

We would be so grateful for help with these 2 items:

Canine Play & Comfort
Medium/Large Kongs: The ultimate boredom buster! Stuffing these with treats provides long-lasting mental stimulation and is a massive favorite for keeping our medium and large dogs happily occupied.

Soft Plush Toys: Perfect for snuggling and gentle play! These offer a wonderful source of comfort for the dogs in their kennels. (Please note: We are currently only asking for soft plush toys, as we have an excess of balls and rope toys at the moment. Thank you!)

Bron has been in our care for 257 days, patiently waiting to find her perfect match. She is a beautiful 12-year-old Domestic Long Hair and a gentle, affectionate girl who just wants to love and be loved in return.

She may be a little shy when first settling in, but with patience and kindness, her true nature shines through. Once she feels safe, Bron (or Bronny!) becomes your quiet little shadow, always nearby and happy just to be close. Affection is her middle name, she absolutely adores smooches, gentle pats, and being picked up for cuddles. She loves treats, will happily sit beside you while you work, and will curl up on your lap while you watch TV. Bron isn’t just looking for a home; she’s looking for her best friend.

Bron’s Perfect Match:
Solo Queen: Bron is searching for a home where she can be the solo queen.
Other Pets: She prefers not to share her humans' affection, so she must be the only pet in the home (No Dogs, No other cats).
Family: She would be best suited to a calm household with older children (15+) who understand how to give her space when she needs it.
