5-horse Premium Walker delivered and sitting on site at Scott and Rachel Wessel's place in Clonbinane, Victoria.

This one's a 12-metre unit with a roof, fully hot-dip galvanised and built right here in Keysborough. It's on site and ready to go, with installation coming up shortly.

We’re excited about this first narrow bay Premium Walker installed and commissioned at Paul Sweeney and John Bourke’s stables in Jerilderie, NSW.

About 19 months ago, we installed a Premium treadmill for him about 19 months ago, and now he's added a walker to the setup. This one's a 12-metre, 6-horse unit with narrow bays, fully hot-dip galvanised and built right here in Keysborough.

I think we need to hone in on the features of the Premium walker, such as being of a mono-rail construction. The narrow bay design is something some trainers specifically ask for.

It prevents horses from turning around in their bays, keeping them moving forward and focused on the work rather than testing their boundaries. They sometimes ask for it.

Let's not take away from the standard bay model, which is our preference.
A few finishing touches still to go with the wiring and walking surface mats, and then this one will be fully operational.

Need to say that Paul is organising this himself, otherwise people will think we just didn’t get around to it. Good to be back at Paul's place and see the treadmill still doing its job alongside the new walker.

The stainless steel out-stands are installed. These are the mini-walls and bracketry that were fixed to the inner and outer pool walls that keep the horses safely off the concrete as they move around.

Every outstand is individually measured to keep the gap between the dividers and the walls consistent all the way around, not less than 75mm and not more than 85mm. Too wide, a horse can get a leg or nose caught as the gap closes. Getting this right took 36 individual sets of measurements to account for the normal irregularities associated with concrete works.

Still to come are the gates and the entrance way, and then this water walker will be ready to go.

The first step is to choose the number of horse bays. Then choose the walker diameter. We offer different diameter options for a given number of horse bays. Then choose whether you want standard bay width, or the narrow bay option.

With that, you have the mechanical heart of the machine covered. It has the centre pivot, arms, and dividers. We also include the electrical control box and VSD inverter, and mounting stand which drives the motor. The bolt kit and comprehensive instructions are also included. Everything is there to have the centre pivot operating.

From there, you can look at the other options. Standard walls, tall walls with 50 x 50 x 5mm mesh up top, rubber for the walls, a rubber walking surface mat kit (when installed on concrete).

You’re able to choose whether you’d like installation for the various components too.

You have so much freedom to customise your walker according to what you need for your horses and stable.

Every steel component is hot-dip galvanised throughout and built in Australia. Once manufactured, we ship them out to your location, anywhere within Australia and New Zealand.

Out at Hunters Lodge in Glendon Brook, NSW to visit Cade Hunter.

Cade bought a used HorseGym treadmill from us recently, and we made the trip out for the first post-sale check-up to make sure everything was running as it should. That's just part of how we do things — the sale doesn't end at the handover.

What struck me most about this visit was Cade himself. He's a young bloke who has built something seriously impressive out at Glendon Brook. The stables are outstanding, the facilities are well thought out, and the whole property has been put together with real care and attention to detail. But more than the bricks and mortar, it's his energy and passion that stands out. The kind of enthusiasm and drive that makes you feel good about the industry and the people coming through it.

It's always good to get out and meet the people behind the enquiries. This one was a highlight.

Out at Cross Park in Lower MacDonald, NSW for some minor repairs on a walker we installed a couple of years ago.

The drive in is something else — autumn leaves lining the property entrance and hills in the background. One of those places that reminds you there are worse offices to work out of.

The walker itself is holding up well. A couple of minor things to sort out, which we did on the day, and it's back running as it should. That's what regular attention does — keeps small things from becoming big ones.
We'll be back for the ferry crossing photos shortly.

Couldn't leave Upper Swan without sharing a few shots of Isaac Pieris' property.
New stables and an arena are going up, and the whole place is just stunning. The kind of setup you walk into and immediately understand why someone is serious about their horses.

It's always a privilege to be welcomed onto properties like this. Makes the long flights and quick turnarounds worth every minute.

Premium treadmill installed and commissioned at Isaac Pieris' stables in Upper Swan, WA.

Isaac's treadmill will be used across a variety of disciplines, which makes the Premium model a great fit. He's got the funnel type barriers, integrated fan within the gate, touchscreen controls, and rear wall barriers — everything he needs to work horses of different backgrounds safely and effectively.

It was a quick trip in and out, which was a shame because the property is something else. New stables and an arena going up, and Isaac is one of those people you'd happily spend more time with. Upper Swan is a fantastic part of the world.
