Well it’s been quite the hectic couple of months!
With our little bundle of joying arriving 2 weeks early happy and healthy. Things are starting to return back to normal so looking for some new clients in our new home!

I’m not one to post stuff like this normally however it’s been playing on my mind and think it’s something all horse owners need to keep in mind! Please read all!

✨If you can’t provide proper care for your horse don’t own one✨

I was recently contact by a client who was literally at her wits end and in desperate need of help with a horse after owning it for only 3 weeks. unfortunately the horse that walked off the transport truck wasn’t at all what she was told he was.

This horse had severe stringhalt that had never been treated nor attempted. He couldn’t flex his neck either side. You could hardly touch the horse along his shoulders, back, ribs and hind end without his whole body going into a spasm. He was full of ulcers. Clear previous injuries to his heel that had been left to heal on their own and had created soundness issues. He was a wind sucker. When being hand walked and trotted up trotting was off limits understandably he physically could not do it and at a walk his whole body looked kinked and he held his head crooked while tossing it also. With all this going on and the pain he was in he turned to aggression when uncomfortable making him unsafe.
My heart broke as I explained in more detail all the issues this horse had to his new owner who was trying to do her absolute best and she did everything she could for him that it was in the horses best interest to be put to sleep.
Following my examination and the examination from a vet everything was confirmed.

Unfortunately all this horses issue were completely man made and through pure neglect at only 12 years old this horse had to be euthanised. he is finally at peace and pain free. Not very often will you hear me say that the horse is better off being euthanised and anyone who knows me knows that’s always my absolute last resort and I’d recommend or do anything to avoid this from happening.

I can’t talk highly enough about this client she knew the horse wasn’t ok and it was too much for her to deal with on her own so she reached out. The respect I have for this client is through the roof and everyone should strive to be like this. She went above and beyond for the beautiful gelding.

At the end of the day this horse lost his life due to pure neglect and laziness from the original owner who literally sent this horse to my client for her to deal with.

I’ll say it again. If you can’t provide the care your horse needs don’t own one. It’s just that simple.

As some of you may already know my partner and myself are expecting a new little rider in May💗💙
Obviously meaning I’m now out of the saddle for a bit!

Ed is a off the track 12 year old gelding stands roughly 15.2hh.
Mild wind sucker. Perfect to paddock with other horses, super easy to catch, super easy to pick up front feet, hind feet as long as you don’t rip them up he’s fine to pick them up! Loves a scratch and really appreciates the love.

Unfortunately Ed has had a rough start to life and does have some issues. He is UNSOUND and has some behaviour issues due to pain. He’s a perfect paddock companion or therapy horse and down the track will make a lovely horse for someone to love and spoil.
This kind boy really needs someone to give him a chance and help him.

FREE to good home.
He’s currently located near Albury/wodonga trucks perfect.

He’s not beginner safe or for nervous people. If you are under 18 please get a adult to contact me.
