đź’”AN ELDERLY GENTLEMAN NEEDS A FOSTER HOME URGENTLY. HE WILL BE UNDER DUTY OF CARE WITH DAP PROVIDING WE CAN FIND A PLACE FOR HIM; HE IS CURRENTLY SITTING AT HAWKESBURY ANIMAL SHELTER. He was not microchipped or wearing a collar and tag.
This dear old soul was found wandering alone in a paddock in Glenorie a couple of days ago. Glenorie is a rural pocket of Sydney where families, farmers, and animals' live side by side, not the kind of place an elderly dog should ever be struggling on his own.
By looking at him, it’s clear he is very old, likely around 14 or 15. He is blind and deaf, and he appears to be in pain, probably with arthritis? He doesn’t want to walk much; he simply curls up in his run at Hawkesbury Animal Shelter and waits. No dog should spend their final chapter like this.
Denise at Paws Inc. would love to help this old gentleman find a foster home where he can rest in comfort and safety. Once he is in care, our vet will give him a full check over and provide any medication he needs for arthritis or other discomfort. He may also need a dental or maybe he won't? we won’t know until he has a quiet place to lay his head.
He needs a calm home without young children, as sudden movements or noise could frighten him. He doesn’t need walking. He doesn’t need adventures. He simply needs warmth, a soft bed, gentle voices, and a full belly. A place to call home for whatever time he has left.
