🐾Great news for our pet parents!

We’re excited to make vet visits a little easier with our new FetchPay integration. 🐶🐱

🧡 What does this mean for you?

If you have pet insurance with FetchPay, you’ll now only need to pay the gap for any approved claims, rather than paying the full vet bill upfront and waiting for your insurance reimbursement.

That means less financial stress and more time to focus on what matters most — keeping your furry family members happy and healthy! 🐾❤️

Have questions? Speak with our friendly team to find out more about using FetchPay at your next visit.

🐾 A Friendly Reminder for Dog Owners 🐾

We would like to ask all dog owners to please be extra cautious when taking your dogs to parks and public areas at the moment.

We have been seeing some cases of viral gastroenteritis (stomach and intestinal illness) in dogs around the area, so we recommend taking a few extra precautions to help protect your pets and reduce the spread. 🦠🐶

Some simple precautions include:
🐕 Avoid dog parks and areas where lots of dogs gather if possible.
💧 Don’t allow your dog to drink from shared or stagnant water sources.
🥣 Avoid sharing food, treats or bowls with other dogs.
💩 Always pick up and dispose of your dog’s poo properly.
🧼 Wash your hands after handling dogs, especially if they have been unwell.
🚫 If your dog is showing signs of vomiting, diarrhoea, lethargy or not eating, please keep them away from other dogs and contact your veterinarian.

We understand that dogs love their walks and social time, but a little extra caution now can help prevent the spread and keep our local dogs healthy. ❤️🐾

Please share this post with other dog owners in the area so we can help spread the word!

💙 A Little Patience & Kindness, Please 💙

We’d like to kindly ask our wonderful clients for a little extra patience, understanding and kindness at the moment.

We have been experiencing a significant increase in emergency cases recently, while our team is also currently short-staffed. Our priority is always to provide the best possible care to every patient, especially those who are critically unwell or require urgent attention.

As a result, we have also had to reschedule some non-urgent appointments to make room for emergencies and ensure that patients who need immediate care can be seen as quickly as possible. We completely understand that having your appointment changed can be frustrating and inconvenient, and we are genuinely sorry when this happens.

However, we kindly ask that you take a moment to put yourself in the position of an owner whose pet is experiencing an emergency. If it were your pet who suddenly needed urgent veterinary care, we hope you would want us to prioritise them and provide the care they desperately need. 🐾❤️

This can sometimes mean longer wait times, delays in answering calls or messages, and appointments taking a little longer than usual. Please know that our team is doing everything we can to accommodate everyone while ensuring our emergency patients receive the attention they need.

We understand that everyone has busy lives and that changes to appointments can be frustrating. We simply ask for a little patience, kindness and understanding towards our team, who are working incredibly hard during a very demanding period.

Thank you for your continued support and for trusting us with the care of your beloved pets. We truly appreciate it. 💙🐶🐱

A fantastic educational case shared by our clinic.

These images show severe dental disease, including X-rays revealing a jaw fracture caused by infection and bone loss.

This post is shared with owner consent to raise awareness about the importance of dental health in our pets. Often, owners are unaware of how severe dental disease has become, as many pets will continue eating and acting normally despite experiencing significant pain.

The good news is that this patient has now received the treatment and ongoing care needed to relieve their pain and improve their quality of life.

And a little reassurance for pet owners: pets generally adapt incredibly well to having teeth removed - and often feel even better afterwards! 🐾

🚨 URGENT: Bird Flu Detected in Western Australia

Western Australia has now confirmed cases of highly pathogenic avian influenza (bird flu) in wild birds.
This marks a significant and serious wildlife health event, and authorities are actively monitoring the situation.

We ask that you do not bring in any wildlife, pet birds or backyard poultry into the clinic.
📞Please call us first if you have any concerns for you pets health.

While the risk to the general public is still considered low, this is a rapidly evolving outbreak with potential impacts on wildlife, pets, and poultry.

To help prevent spread and protect wildlife:
❌ Do NOT touch or move sick or dead birds
🐦 Keep pets away from birds, wetlands, and carcasses
📍 Report multiple sick or dead birds immediately to DPIRD WA or local authorities
🧼 Wash hands thoroughly after outdoor activity near wildlife areas
🚫 Do not attempt to rescue or handle wildlife without trained support

🧠 Why this matters
Bird flu can spread quickly among bird populations and has caused major wildlife die-offs overseas. Early reporting and strict biosecurity are critical to limiting its impact in Australia.

📢 Stay updated only through official sources:

This situation is being closely monitored and guidance may change quickly.
