It’s that time of the year again 😆
I’ll be one of today’s volunteer artists for RSPCA Queenslands Poorly Drawn Pets event!
It’s a lot of fun and raises important funds for the life saving work the organisation does across the state.
If you’d like to have a poorly drawn portrait of your pet, follow the instructions in the original post 😊

One of my favourite moments from my rounds this morning 🥰

This little old lady isn’t quick to trust new people. Last night there was fearful barking and growling, hiding and avoiding getting too close. I made a point of using quiet and calm interactions and giving her plenty of space so she can meet me on her own terms. Avoiding eye contact with her and making sure my movements are slow and predictable.

What a difference 12 hours can make! This morning she trusted me enough to come up for a cuddle, and then proceeded to bring me one of her toys.

Time and patience pays off.

These comfy bands will come in handy for male doggy guests who impulsively mark indoors as they adjust and settle into their stay.

If you have a dog that sometimes has accidents inside the house, this is an environmentally friendly way to manage the mess while you work on training them to toilet in more appropriate places.
When they get dirty, rinse and pop them in the washing machine! They come in many different sizes and lots of fun fabrics.
