Hi all,
I hope you and your furbabies are all well 🥰🐾

With my birthday coming up, (The big 50 for me this Mothers Day, scary stuff 😟😆) Facebook has been asking me about raising funds for a charity.
Those of you who know me, know I am very passionate about animals 🐾
The charity I would really like to help is not in their list but the rescue I want to help, (Twilight Sanctuary) is run by a couple of ladies I know, one of them is a very close friend of mine who I have known for many years, and I can 100% guarantee all money helps the kitties.
She won't often ask for help and often goes without to make sure the kitties are looked after first. She is a truly beautiful and special person and I would love to help her, even if people just gave a small amount, it all adds up.

We're having a Pool Party for pups only! 🥳🐾

We're opening the pool up on April 6th for your pups to swim 🐕‍🦺 We've got two sessions on the day, 12:00pm - 1:00pm is for Small Dogs up to 25kgs and 1:30pm - 2:30pm is for the big pups above 25kgs!

A few rules to keep everyone safe: 🐕‍🦺
🐕‍🦺Dogs to be kept on a leash at all times outside of the pool
🐕‍🦺Lifejackets are highly recommended if your dog isn't confident in water
🐕‍🦺Pre Pool Pitstop! Please take your dog for a walk to do their business before entering the pool area
🐕‍🦺Nail Check! Make sure your dog’s nails are trimmed before the event
🐕‍🦺Know Your Dog! If your dog doesn’t play well with others, a dog day at the pool might not be the best fit
🐕‍🦺Code Brown! We will need to evacuate the pool and treat it if we get a code brown 💩
🐕‍🦺Dogs Only! As much fun as it would be to swim with your dog, these events are for dogs only

Hi all, I hope you and your furbabies are all well :)

Re sharing this post for those who need it. Please be sure to book in advance, all groomers are very busy. I have heard that some don't have availability until April at this stage, and will continue to book up fast.

We seem to have a bit of a shortage of good groomers. If you are an animal lover and you have a lot of patience, and you are looking for a career with animals this could be worth a thought. Also if you are strong and fit, being able to groom larger dogs is a bonus as groomers for them are becoming very hard to find. Also the same for cat grooming.
It is all hard work, and most don't want to cooperate fully so patience is a must to do this work, but it is an excellent career

Hi all,

I finally managed to get my girl in for her well overdue hair cut recently, as you can see in the pic she got taken back nice and short for summer. (Her ears are short because she doesn’t handle me brushing even the smallest knot so we had to go short) Oh to be the groomers difficult dog ha ha

For anyone who has not seen my previous posts, I am very sorry but I need to let you know I am currently fully booked for the year, and cannot take any new clients at this time.

If you are looking for a groomer, here are some that I can suggest that may still have availability, but if you are going to contact them, please do so asap as this is everyone’s busiest time and there will not be many times left anywhere.

Hi all

I need to let you know that I am completely booked for the rest of the year.
I have tried to get in touch with as many of my regular clients as possible to make sure everyone has booked appointments in advance, especially being the busiest time of the year. I am so sorry if I missed anyone.

I am not able to take on new clients at this stage. However, if I do take on new clients at any time the dogs will need to be no more than about 6 kilos and tolerate the whole bathing and grooming process well.

I have had to send several clients away which has been very emotional. Sadly, I know I am going to have to send more way too, as much as I don’t want to.
I have been so lucky to have so many amazing and kind clients and I have bonded so much with the beautiful fur babies I have gotten to know over the years, I love them all and I have had cried many tears over all of this. Thank you all so much for trusting me with your beautiful fur babies, I feel so lucky to have known them, and you.

I have been researching groomers for the last few months, and speaking to some of them too, hoping I can find some from different areas or who visit Kapunda or other areas. I am going to make a post with their details. The groomers I am suggesting seem very nice, I have either spoken with or I have seen good posts and comments about them over Facebook. I will continue to take notice of any more also.
Please remember that most groomers are booked up in advance, especially at this time of the year so be sure to contact them asap.

Hi all
I just wanted to let you know that I am currently booked up until about mid to late October at this stage and booking up more every day

Please book in advance to secure an appointment, especially now as it is the lead up to the busiest time of the year.
In case you have not seen my previous posts, due to my shoulder issues I can no longer do any heavier dogs, around the 6 to 7 kilo weight is the limit unfortunately. Please chat with me if you have any questions at all.

Hi all,
In regards to me needing to cut back on my workload I have been speaking with another mobile groomer who comes to Kapunda. Her name is Aami and she is the owner of Jim's Dog Wash And Grooming
She has availability this week, and weekend availability in a couple of weeks or so.
Please be aware that her prices will be higher than mine due to the fees, petrol, etc that she needs to cover. Also as I am often told I am too cheap as it is lol.
As many of you saw in my last post that Karen from Country Critters is not taking new clients, and agrees with me that more groomers out here will be great as there is a big need for them, especially for the bigger dogs.
Aami is happy to service other areas too depending on how far away and how much interest there is, she currently goes to Nuri also.
