Kennel Cough Outbreak

We have seen an increase in kennel cough cases in the area. Kennel cough is a highly contagious respiratory infection in dogs, causing coughing, sneezing, and nasal discharge.

What you need to know:
Symptoms – Persistent dry cough, gagging, sneezing, runny nose, sometimes mild fever.
Spread – Close contact with other dogs, especially in kennels, dog parks, or daycare.
Prevention – Vaccination is key! Ask your vet about the kennel cough vaccine, especially for dogs who socialise frequently.
At home – Keep affected dogs isolated, monitor their symptoms, and seek veterinary care if coughing is severe or persists.

If you are concerned about your pet exhibiting any of these symptoms, please contact your veterinarian.

Hi all,
I hope you and your furbabies are all well 🥰🐾

With my birthday coming up, (The big 50 for me this Mothers Day, scary stuff 😟😆) Facebook has been asking me about raising funds for a charity.
Those of you who know me, know I am very passionate about animals 🐾
The charity I would really like to help is not in their list but the rescue I want to help, (Twilight Sanctuary) is run by a couple of ladies I know, one of them is a very close friend of mine who I have known for many years, and I can 100% guarantee all money helps the kitties.
She won't often ask for help and often goes without to make sure the kitties are looked after first. She is a truly beautiful and special person and I would love to help her, even if people just gave a small amount, it all adds up.

We're having a Pool Party for pups only! 🥳🐾

We're opening the pool up on April 6th for your pups to swim 🐕‍🦺 We've got two sessions on the day, 12:00pm - 1:00pm is for Small Dogs up to 25kgs and 1:30pm - 2:30pm is for the big pups above 25kgs!

We have a max of 20 dogs per sessions with bookings to be made prior to the event, click on the link below or scan the QR Code to book your doggo in 🐕‍🦺

A few rules to keep everyone safe: 🐕‍🦺
🐕‍🦺Dogs to be kept on a leash at all times outside of the pool
🐕‍🦺Lifejackets are highly recommended if your dog isn't confident in water
🐕‍🦺Pre Pool Pitstop! Please take your dog for a walk to do their business before entering the pool area
🐕‍🦺Nail Check! Make sure your dog’s nails are trimmed before the event
🐕‍🦺Know Your Dog! If your dog doesn’t play well with others, a dog day at the pool might not be the best fit
🐕‍🦺Code Brown! We will need to evacuate the pool and treat it if we get a code brown 💩
🐕‍🦺Dogs Only! As much fun as it would be to swim with your dog, these events are for dogs only

Hi all, I hope you and your furbabies are all well :)

Re sharing this post for those who need it. Please be sure to book in advance, all groomers are very busy. I have heard that some don't have availability until April at this stage, and will continue to book up fast.

We seem to have a bit of a shortage of good groomers. If you are an animal lover and you have a lot of patience, and you are looking for a career with animals this could be worth a thought. Also if you are strong and fit, being able to groom larger dogs is a bonus as groomers for them are becoming very hard to find. Also the same for cat grooming.
It is all hard work, and most don't want to cooperate fully so patience is a must to do this work, but it is an excellent career

Hi all,

I finally managed to get my girl in for her well overdue hair cut recently, as you can see in the pic she got taken back nice and short for summer. (Her ears are short because she doesn’t handle me brushing even the smallest knot so we had to go short) Oh to be the groomers difficult dog ha ha

For anyone who has not seen my previous posts, I am very sorry but I need to let you know I am currently fully booked for the year, and cannot take any new clients at this time.

If you are looking for a groomer, here are some that I can suggest that may still have availability, but if you are going to contact them, please do so asap as this is everyone’s busiest time and there will not be many times left anywhere.
