Weaning is all done and dusted. We are thrilled with the way the foals by our resident stallion “Argyl Stars” conducted themselves. With less than 15mm rain since October the lack of feed has been a real challenge. As the colts are not yet gelded they sadly cannot attend the foal show this weeknd so have headed back to the paddock. Names are pending but breeding is shown with photos.

2024 sees us embark on our 21st consecutive Equestrian Australia show horse nationals. Great to be back again representing team SA. Going to be a hot one ( 39 degrees predicted tomorrow) for arena familiarization but hopefully cooling down for competition days. Over the years we have been fortunate to breed and/or produce a number of winners/runners up at this prestigious show. This year we have Argyl Composer, progeny of a former Argyl Stud team member (Alington Allegra- shown with Jenni and Edwina Wilkes) and first time nationals contender “Tahitian R” who we show with long time owner Julie Payne. Ironically - Julie’s mare Roxleigh Frederica ( EA national champion /GN champion) foaled as we were en-route to the show. Thanks to the team at home looking after everything.
