Old pic from earlier in the year, but this little legend is back home from the farm to come back into work now her bite mark courtesy of Missy is healed.

Fun fact, I find branch shows absolutely terrifying. Give me an ag show over a branch show any day. I don't know why, but I even found going to Canberra Royal less intimidating then the last branch show I went to. No one was mean to me, the show was really well run, the organisers are lovely, I sponsor a class at the branch show, but for some reason my brain has decided that a branch show is where a saber tooth tiger is waiting to kill me 🤦‍♀️

So with that in mind and a goal to get over this irrational fear, I'm aiming for my next branch show with Princess to be early November. Just a led 2yo class to ease ourselves back in. There's two WEQ training days I'd like to take her to beforehand to get her back in the flow of being out and about.

Anyway, all that to say, it you see me at a branch show and I look like I want to die, then you know what's up 🤣 just me and my friend anxiety at war with each other over non life threatening circumstances.

Poor Princess will be carrying the team, as per usual.

Missy (Prestige Promise) and her mini me "Bobbie"

Missy is being a great first time mum. I knew she would be, since I've owned her every spring she's been obsessed with Kindilans foals. And I believe Missy's dam once took on a foal that wasn't her own, while also feeding her own foal. So being a good mum runs in the family.

My brain has been working overtime trying to decide if I retain both Missy and Ellie's filly's or sell one and keep one and if so which one to keep. So if anyone is interested in a showing lease down the track now would be the time to speak up so my brain can stop pondering options 🤣

Missy, my absolute favourite mare. I've missed her so much the past 12 months, showing just isn't the same without her on the team.

But I'm so glad I put her in foal and she's given me a near carbon copy filly. One of my greatest fears was losing Missy before I had anything to continue her line with. But this little filly is hopefully the start of safeguarding that line so eventually everyone can have their own part of Missy genetics and love the line as much as I do 😍 provided everyone is healthy and happy I have plans for one more Missy foal and then she'll come back in as a 7yo to compete for hopefully many years.

I thought I had my keeper picked this year with Ellie's foal, but another black filly has really thrown a spanner in the works. Lucky that these are the "hard" choices I have this season.

This filly's nickname will be Bobbie, after my cousins daughter who was visiting yesterday for her birthday. She got an extra special birthday surprise seeing Missy foal. Now to work on a registered name.

How lucky are we!

Missy (Prestige Promise) gifted us with a beautiful black filly this morning by Hilite Dads Acres.

She's got a bit of bling on her face and a tiny sock on her offside hind.

Both are doing very well so far 😍

Everything I own with Kirkbys Stud Digger blood are the biggest water babies.

This is Ringer, Digger is his sire. However Pep is the same, and Digger is his grandsire. The reason why this trough is being refilled is because I had to empty and scrub it after *someone* decided they should get in it for a wallow.

I am loving having a bay gelding again 😍 my childhood pony was a bay gelding, and the first stock horse I ever owned was a bay gelding.

This little dude is compact, athletic, kind and clever. If I was still young enough for pony club I reckon he'd be an absolute gun at sporting.

Easy to catch horses = happy human

Kindilan and Ringer were very excited for their float trip back home this arvo. Both Kindilan and Ringer will stay at home for the next few months; Kindilan to be on foal watch and Ringer to start being broken in now he's had a few weeks to settle into life down south.

Which means I'm thinking Pep and Princess can have a turn being paddock bums on the farm. I've had to stop progress with breaking in Princess as one of her friends (I'm looking at you Missy) gave her a lovely bite on her back, which is right where my weight would be riding her. So some farm time will give the bite time to heal, both horses time to grow and fill out and some exposure to cattle.

Well friends, unfortunately our vet appointment was cancelled today as the vets son is unwell.

However I think going off the photos below we can assume that unless something really weird is going on Kindilan is in foal. Her due date would be 6th September she does tend to go early so we'll see how long she makes us wait 😊
