❄️ WINTER GROOMING MATTERS! 🐾

We’ve got availability over the next couple of weeks – the perfect time to freshen up your pup at Short Paws Dog Grooming!

With the recent weather changes, double-coated breeds are starting to blow their undercoat. A good deshed helps clear out that loose fur so their winter coat can grow in properly – keeping them comfy and helping regulate their body temperature. 🐕‍🦺

Got a long-coated pup? Regular light trims are a must! ✂️
💥 Split ends = quicker matting and more brushing needed at home.
🧼 Long coats hold more dirt and moisture
Routine grooming keeps their coat clean, healthy, and mat-free!

And yes – short haircuts are still great in winter! ❄️
Most pups today can stay warm with jackets, blankets and let’s be real… our own beds too! 😅

Wow! We are incredibly busy right now, with multiple new customers inquiring and many regulars trying to book in last minute. If you haven’t booked ahead, please make sure to do so as soon as possible—I’d hate for any of my regulars to miss out!

Cancellations are very rare, so please don’t leave it to the last minute. Book ahead to secure your spot!

Hi everyone,
According to Energex, power won’t be restored until Wednesday, March 12th at 9 PM. I will be rescheduling all appointments to March 13th onwards, hoping power will be back by then.

If anything changes, I’ll keep everyone updated. In the meantime, I’ll be reaching out to rebook appointments. Cloe and I will be working extra hours to accommodate everyone as quickly as possible.

⚡ Power Still Out – Salon Closed for Now ⚡

Unfortunately, we are still without power, which means we can’t open until it’s restored. The bath, blow dryer, and clippers all rely on power, so we’re unable to groom at this time.

We’re also experiencing limited reception and internet, making it difficult to respond to calls and messages. We appreciate your patience and will update everyone ASAP about rescheduling and when we can reopen.

Cyclone Update & Appointment Rescheduling

Dear valued clients,

As many of you are aware, a cyclone is expected to arrive this Thursday. Unfortunately, this means we will need to reschedule appointments. We understand this is inconvenient, and we truly appreciate your patience as we work to accommodate everyone as soon as possible.

This has come at a particularly busy time, with Short Paws currently booked out for the next few weeks. As a result, rescheduling may take a little longer than we’d like. Clients affected by the cyclone-related cancellations will be given first priority. If anyone with an upcoming appointment is able to reschedule and isn’t in urgent need of grooming, we would greatly appreciate it—this will help us fit in those who have been displaced.

Cloe and I will also be working extra hours, including our days off, to accommodate as many appointments as possible. However, our top priority is everyone’s safety. We would much rather have a few pups a little overgrown than risk anyone driving in dangerous conditions, including flash flooding and high winds.

At this stage, it is likely that appointments on Thursday, Friday, and possibly Saturday will need to be rescheduled. I will provide further updates as soon as we have more information.

Thank you all for your understanding and support. Please take care, stay safe, and keep your fur babies safe too.
