At pampered paws our aim is always to have a positive and calm grooming session and the best way to achieve that is by starting your new puppies of with an introduction before jumping straight into a full groom.
We have puppy intro sessions that are a gentle introduction to grooming for your new puppy in a calm, positive environment that will set them up for life to not fear the experience but learn to love coming regularly for there pamper days.

❄️🐾 Winter Grooming Matters More Than You Think! 🐾❄️

We often hear, “I’d like to keep my dog’s coat long for winter” — and we love that fluffy, luxurious look too! 💛

But here’s the truth…
👉 A long coat is only possible if it’s well maintained and free of matting.

During the colder months, coats grow thicker and can easily become tangled without regular brushing and grooming. When matting becomes too severe, the kindest (and safest) option is often a short shave.

To keep coats long, healthy, and beautiful, we recommend a 6-week grooming schedule over winter ❄️✂️

We’ve seen a noticeable increase in fleas over the last couple of weeks.

If your pup has been extra itchy, it might be more than just dry skin…
fleas can make your dog uncomfortable, itchy, and irritated — but the good news is we can help! 💛

At Pampered Paws, we offer flea treatment washes to help eliminate fleas and get your pup feeling fresh and comfortable again. 🛁✨

If you suspect your dog may have fleas, please let us know when booking so we can take the right steps to treat them safely and effectively.

🐾✨️ Same treatment - Very different dogs! ✨️🐾

I recently groomed two completely opposite pups - a large long-haired German Shepherd and a small short-haied Pug.
Both received a brush-out, deshed treatment and blow dry and the result was very surprising... they were both carrying the same amount of undercoat! 😲

It's a common misconception that only big, hairy dogs need the extra attention but this is a great reminder that even small short-haired breeds can benefit hugely from a proper brush out - especially in this hot weather. 🥵☀️

A good deshed helps reduce shedding, keeps the coat healthy and most importantly helps dogs stay cool and comfortable.

If you're not sure whether your dog would benefit from a deshed, feel free to ask - I'm always happy to chat 💛🐶

☀️🐾 Hot Weather Update - We're Operating as Usual 🐾☀️

With the hot weather forecast for tomorrow, we'd like to reassure our wonderful pet parents that Pampered Paws will be Operating as usual.

Inside the salon we'll be keeping everyone cool and comfortable with:
❄️ Air conditioning blasting
🌬 Dryers set to their cool setting
💛 Extra care and comfort for every pup

Please remember that the ground outside will be scorching hot. If your dog is unable to be lifted we're more than happy to offer a back door drop off option to keep their Paws safe.

If you have any concerns or special requirements, please don't hesitate to reach out - your dog's wellbeing is always our top priority. 🐶💛
