Willsallen Veterinary Services is seeking a highly diligent Horse Handler / Vet's Assistant to join our busy equine reproduction practice starting at the end of August! We are located on a stunning, picturesque property operating right on the banks of the beautiful Murrumbidgee River in Jugiong, Southern NSW.
Equine breeding season is fast-paced and physically demanding, but highly rewarding. You will be working alongside our amazing, friendly, and deeply loyal clientele who make every long day fulfilling. We are looking for an individual with an exceptional work ethic who thrives during seasonal hours, maintains unwavering attention to detail under pressure, and takes true pride in delivering high-quality veterinary support.

🚗 Key Requirements & Responsibilities:
• Impeccable Work Ethic: A proactive attitude and resilience to handle long, physically demanding seasonal hours.
• Meticulous Attention to Detail: Strict diligence in following veterinary protocols, keeping precise records, and monitoring horse health.
• Handling Excellence: Strong, proven confidence catching and handling mares, foals, and stallions safely.
• Clinical Support: Assisting the vet with stud medicine, artificial insemination, embryo transfers, radiography, field surgery, lameness, and more.
• Valid driver’s licence and your own reliable car (essential).
• Ability to ride a 4-wheel motorbike and perform basic property/fence maintenance is highly desirable.
