Equine Dentistry and Equine Services I aim to optimise the wellbeing and performance of horses through preventative health care.

I have been involved with horses all my life, from competition to breeding and now professionally. I have worked in equine referral and race trace practices, but over and over again see serious health issues that could have been prevented by doing some routine health care earlier on. On previous visits to the Snowies and Monaro I noticed that this was sorely lacking so decided to move here and try

address the problem. My main focus is on dentistry and I am in the process of getting my Veterinary memberships in this field.

“No pain” doesn’t always mean no problem.

Horses can quickly develop large and sharp overgrowths, ulcers on the inside of the cheek, and many less easy to spot dental diseases causing ongoing discomfort, potentially even a dental ‘ticking time bomb’ — even while they continue to eat and behave “normally”. Dental pain is often subtle: commonly perceived signs such as slower eating, dropping feed, head tilting, resistance in the contact, weight loss may well be completely absent - there may well be nothing, maybe just a vague change in attitude or something you’ve attributed to just ‘normal’ behaviour for your horse…

That’s the point of (the EDC campaign with the BHS): if something feels even slightly off — or if your horse is simply due — get their mouth checked. Routine dental exams catch problems early, prevent suffering, and can avoid bigger interventions later.

✅ Don’t wait for obvious signs
