Our Story
Jerry’s Plains Veterinary Hospital is the Veterinary Practice of James (Jim ) Rodger and is widely known throughout Australia and overseas as a specialist equine reproduction clinic. After many years as a multi-vet practice with new faces coming in for the horse breeding season, the practice is now run as a single man practice which continues to service thoroughbred studs in the area and the increasing non thoroughbred industry, particularly in the sphere of artificial breeding. The practice now offers excellent facilities, both for equine and small animal patients. We are committed to providing an all-round service to the local community. Small animal surgeries such as desexings are carried out by veterinarians who come in when required for those services.
Although best known for our work in equine reproduction, we have high standards in all aspects of equine practice, including lameness, medicine, surgery, imaging . The practice is well-equipped with digital x-ray, video-endoscope, ultrasound, , and well stocked ambulatory service.
