Winter arthritis tips for dogs 🐾❄️

Cold weather can make arthritis symptoms worse in our older dogs. A few simple things can help keep them comfortable this winter:

• Keep them warm and dry
• Gentle daily exercise helps stiff joints
• Soft, supportive bedding is important
• Maintain a healthy weight to reduce joint strain
• Consider joint supplements or arthritis medications if recommended by your vet
• Watch for signs like slowing down, stiffness, limping or struggling to get up

If your dog seems sore or less mobile this winter, book them in for an arthritis check with the team 💙

🐾 We’re Hiring – Veterinary Receptionist 🐾

Our reception team is often the first voice a client hears and the first face they see when they walk through the door. They help guide people through some of the best and hardest days of pet ownership, and they’re an incredibly important part of what we do.

We’re looking for someone with excellent reception and customer service skills to join our team at Jerilderie Veterinary Practice.

While a love of animals is important, we’re really looking for someone who loves helping people.

The ideal person will:
✨ Have a warm and professional manner
✨ Enjoy talking to people and building relationships
✨ Be organised and efficient
✨ Remain calm in a busy environment
✨ Have strong computer and administrative skills
✨ Be a supportive team member who enjoys helping others

Previous veterinary experience is welcome, but it isn’t essential. We can teach the veterinary side of things. What we’re looking for is someone who genuinely enjoys providing great customer service and making people feel welcome.

This is a rewarding role in a busy mixed-animal practice where no two days are ever the same. You’ll be part of a close-knit team that values kindness, teamwork and community.
