Six weeks on, Obscure's condition has improved significantly, with better circulation around the hoof. The ridges near the coronet band are visible evidence of the hoof's recovery. The laminae were infected due to poor circulation, and an abscess at the toe was uncovered. This horse experienced severe pressure in the hoof, and the situation could have been worse. I often see these issues; stress founder can cause the pedal bone to rotate excessively. If you suspect this condition, consult a farrier and veterinarian promptly to achieve the best outcome. I believe Obscure will make a good recovery, and the damaged laminae will grow out over time. I hope you enjoy this video.

The rotation pedal bone has caused issues due to stress and pressure from tight side clips, resulting in soreness and bruising that required a 2-week recovery period, despite which the area remained slightly tender upon nailing the shoes.
