🐱Happy International Cat Day to Our Feline Overlords!🐱

Today, we pause our eternal (but very cute) feud over who’s better — cats or dogs — and bow down to the real rulers of our homes: the cats (well they like to think so).

Whether they’re knocking things off shelves, judging your life choices from the windowsill, or pretending they don’t care when they absolutely do — we love them for exactly who they are: independent, dramatic, and weirdly photogenic.

🐾 A Little Pet Business Love 🐾

This isn’t something any of us want to think about, but when we have to, it helps to know there are kind souls ready to help us say goodbye with love and dignity.

I just want to give a huge shout-out to Paws To Heaven, a water cremation service that showed so much compassion and care when I lost Zatanna’s mum and dad within just six weeks of each other. 💔

They were amazing to deal with — gentle, respectful, and truly understanding of what our pets mean to us. If you ever find yourself needing this kind of help, I can’t recommend them enough.

Because our fur babies deserve nothing less. 🐶✨🌈

I had the absolute pleasure of photographing these little cuties yesterday for Paw Prints Canine Rescue. These adorable little puppers are / are close to being up for adoption. Gotta say little Minnie (the cream chihuahua) was very close to being stashed into my camera bag and dognapped! I fell in love with her immediately. I love being able to do this, and hopefully give them an even better chance to find their fur-ever homes. I've included the rescue link, just in case you get as tempted as I was! x

🐾 Big (waggy) news! 🐾

Some of you might remember that a few years back, as Nyx Photography, I used to spend some of my spare time photographing beautiful adoptable dogs for Paw Prints Dog Rescue, helping them show off their best side (those puppy eyes don’t hurt either).

Well… guess who’s back, back again!

Life and my busy two-legged clients pulled me away for a bit, but my heart has always stayed with our four-legged friends who need a little extra help finding their forever couch (preferably yours 😉).

So I’m thrilled to say I’ll be volunteering my camera again for Paw Prints, capturing the sweet souls looking for a second chance and sharing their adorable faces right here with you all.

Keep an eye on this page because you might just meet your new best mate scrolling through your feed.

Let’s help them find the warm beds, snuggles, and endless love they deserve. x

🐾 All dogs are therapy pets — most are just working undercover.

Sure, they don’t come with official vests or fancy certificates, but let’s be real:
Your dog knows when you’ve had a rough day.
They’re the first to snuggle in when the world feels heavy,
the best therapy during a couch cry,
and the only ones who’ve seen your ugly laugh and your ugly cry — and loved you harder for both.

Whether they’re nudging your hand when you’re anxious, making you laugh with their weird zoomies, or just laying quietly by your side like a fluffy little life coach… dogs just get it.

They're our walking, snoring, drooling proof that love doesn’t need words.
