TDIF! (Thank Dog It's Friday!)

Tess is drooling at the thought of all the yummy treats she's going to eat this weekend 🍖

We are off to the Ipswich Show this weekend (mostly just to see all the cool chickens and pigeons!), and we have a a few guinea pigs and a little parrotlet boarding with us at the moment, so we'll be hanging out with them too.

I snapped this super cute picture of resident seniors Gertie (7yo, L) and Astro (5yo, R) this morning! They love snuggling in the hay, especially as the weather cools down.

A gentle reminder that our senior pets will feel the cold more than their younger counterparts, especially if they have arthritis or other joint problems, so it's important to keep their comfort in mind.

Our Guinea Pig Room is temperature-controlled for all that Ipswich weather will throw at us, so when you board your little ones with us, you know they will be safe and comfortable.

To our trans and non-binary friends, we see you, we love you. We are a safe space for you ❤️

A little bit different to our normal posts, but pet parents come in many forms, and I thought this was a great way we can support the trans and non-binary pet parents in our lives.

We know it's Trans Day of Visibility but cis folk - we're looking at you with this one! Visibility without safety isn't enough. This is why it's so important for cis allies to actively create space, push for change and uplift trans voices.

Dino and I are cuddled up with cats on the bed and couch respectively after a busy weekend!

We looked after the goodest boi, Montie, this week, and his family gifted us an early Easter present 🍫😋 (thanks so much!)

🧼🛁 Thursday Grooming 🛁🧼

I finally got an opportunity to groom some of our resident piggies today!

🖤 Gertie is one of our senior ladies at 7 years of age, and regularly gets her long coat trimmed. Today she had a hygiene clip to prevent urine scalding, and a bath to freshen up!

🤎 Choccy is also one of our seniors, and his long coat had developed some minor matts. He's now sporting a short back and sides, with a cute little braided rat's tail.

🤍 Lilith is just a grubby girl, so she had a bath.

🖤 Mikki also has long and mostly unmanageable hair, so she got a lil pixie cut that will hopefully keep things tidy for her.

🧡 Theodore is another old man, and his coat was feeling a bit dirty, so he had a bath followed by a cuddle while I doom-scrolled.

🧼 If your piggies need a nail trim, bath or full shave, I'm ya girl! I have availability most Mondays and Thursdays, and some weekends, and lots of availability over the Easter break. Send me a message to book! 📧

Dino and I are very fortunate to have not experienced significant loss or destruction from the current weather situation (other than our flights being cancelled for a weekend trip to Melbourne), but we know others in our community have not been so lucky.

We hope that our friends and followers continue to remain as safe and as dry as possible. ☔
