Times are getting really tough out here.... we are grateful for the small amounts of rain we are getting and hope it's not too little too late...
This week we have had to get a truck load of hay sent down from Queensland - because VIC and NSW have all run out, which has cost $90 EXTRA per BALE.... $220 × 44.... that's a lot of money to keep these horses going and is just not viable. In December the price increase was $50 and that was hard enough to cope with and to add this on top of that is just insane.

We will push through hard and make sure our horses never suffer. But please keep this in mind when you cancel "because it's too wet and you dont want to do theory" or "because it's too cold" etc... we will need to be enforcing our cancellation policy hard through this winter to keep our horses alive...

If you have any good ideas for fund-raising or support please reach out. We have applied for multiple grants and have not been successful yet...

We know that this is only short term and we will start peddling down hill again soon because we have faith, but getting to the top of that hill is going to be hard.

If you are in a position to pay for next term up front, this will also help us to purchase bulk loads of hay before it has all gone... which I suspect will happen by mid June.

Today we said goodbye to little King (or marshmallow as he was known to many)
King has gone back to his lovely owners to enjoy his well earned retirement!
Thank you so much to Kings owners and King for everything. I'm sure King will be greatly missed by his little riders. 🥰

Sometimes as a coach you have to find different ways of getting through to clients.
Today we were working on seat and leg weight when turning or yielding our horses.... it may have turned into a bit of a dance lesson 😂
Get them hips moving!!! 🥳

WELCOME TO TERM 2!!

Sadly, Jenni has made the decision to resign from Ajays to follow a different path. She wishes all her students the best going forward and I'm sure will be missed by a lot of our students. Jenni has been here for over 3 years now and has helped Ajay grow into what it is today. So thank you Jenni for all your hard work this far and we wish you the best on your new endeavours.

This change has left us needing to fill a very big hole, so we would also like to welcome our new coach Sophie (no, not my Sophie, as much as she would love the job! 😂)
Sophie has competed to 2* over in UK and will bring a wealth of knowledge to the team. This is all new to Sophie so please give her time to adapt to our horses and lessons programs and I'm sure you and your children will learn a great deal from her.

We have NO new school horses to introduce to you this term!! 😱 I know right!! However I did get myself a beautiful big 18hh monster of a pony which you are all welcome to love on as much as you like 🥰

We will have some ponies/horses leaving us...
King will be going home to a much deserved retirement and quieter life. He will be leaving at some stage this/next week.
Rupert our OTTB is up for sale and will hopefully find a lovely home where he will get used to his full potential.
Sammy is finally out in the paddock again after his injury and will be heading off for a period of time to rest and recover in a big paddock to hopefully improve his soundness.

If you have not rebooked your lesson for this term please contact me ASAP and hopefully we can find a spot for you. If you needed to change times/days now is the time to contact me as I know now what we have available.

Mac has had a big week! Finally being used in his first riding lesson! Jumping big jumps and going for a short ride down the road!
He has started to become such a great little pony.
Charlotte has done an amazing job finishing him off.

FREE RIDE FRIDAYS!
Please remember PARENTS or GARDIANS MUST STAY on site and be responsible for your child.
It is not babysitting and your child will not be able to ride if you leave.

2 new cross country jumps ready to go out!

If anyone has, or knows of any scrap timber laying around that they would like to donate to go towards more jumps we are after:
4x2 treated pine
Hardwood or pine planks of any thickness
Verandah timber
Marine ply sheets
Logs/poles
Etc
