A lot of growth for both me and Chase over the last few weeks, upping our dressage game with novice tests, SJ around 1m courses, getting my confidence back on track and fiddling with bits to get Chase happier in the contact.
Looks like it’s all working, finishing 🏵️ =4th (5th on countback) in the EvA80 OTT class with a 71.6% dressage, double clear and no nana time penalties!!

Continued support from David Boyle and Cavalli Park (Paul) as well as my pal Christopher Height has helped us so much these last few weeks in prep for the new season, thank you 🙏

We will consolidate with one more 80 at Spring before stepping up, now that the xc is feeling more fun and less like I’m in a pinball machine 😅

Ellie’s next comp with Magic will be her very first Horse Trials 😮 as a parent I don’t know whether to be excited or nervous but I’ll be damn proud either way!

🐎 Ballarat HT - Cowboy Caviar decided again that warm ups are not our friend and was quite anxious, athletic and airborne ✈️ before dressage and SJ. Luckily once he was on his own in the ring he settled and got stuck into his job, producing a very tidy 69% dressage and an unlucky rail down.
A slow canter around cross country put us down the list, but a much better response in between fences gave us both a more confident feeling.

Thank you to the committee for putting on yet another fabulous and well run event, such a fantastic atmosphere 🙌 🙌 and to for the sponsorship of the OTT 80 class. As always to .pagey for all the behind the scenes support and listening to my random thoughts 🤦‍♀️🤣 luckily we were home before the rain hit!

I just ❤️ our Victorian eventing community, even when I was having a crisis in confidence all the positive comments and assistance got me through those finish flags in a better mindset 🙏 big ups to , and , you helped me more than you know! 💕

On to Woady in a few weeks with some homework to do 👏

Mother daughter team bringing home matchy matchy rugs!!!
Lovely day out at Yarra Glen with both ponies and a heap of riders also kicking goals and supporting each other 💙🤍💙🤍

Cowboy Caviar (Chase) greatly improved his ringcraft to sit on a 76.9% then show jumped clear to complete the day. Biggest props to for all your advice x

Magic and his jockey did 2 neat little tests to win both and take out the jackpot, as well as a clear SJ for a 🥉 in the CT.

Bugger…
Wandin is a no go after Chase presumably had an argument with a fence and came off second best.
It’s a bad place to cut on a bendy knee but we’ve got 4 stitches hopefully holding it together long enough for it to heal itself back together.
Luckily not deep and missed anything important!
Big thanks to for the after hours visit and great service 🫶🏻

We’ll see if we can be prepared for Riddells Creek at Easter 🤷‍♀️ 🤞🤞
