Most people don’t realise this, but what you feed your dog can either keep them out of the vet — or have you there more than you’d like 💸
Food isn’t just “food.” It directly affects your dog’s skin, gut, immune system and overall health. I see it all the time 👀
Dogs dealing with constant itching, red paws, ear infections, yeast overgrowth, hot spots… and the root cause is often what’s in the bowl.
A lot of commercial diets are packed with fillers, low quality proteins and ingredients that simply don’t agree with every dog.
And it’s not just kibble! even with raw feeding, the type of protein, sourcing and balance matters too. Some dogs don’t tolerate certain proteins and that can trigger the exact same issues.
Over time, that can show up as
– skin rashes
– recurring ear infections
– yeast issues
– digestive problems
And then comes the cycle: Vet visit → medication → temporary fix → problem comes back again → another vet visit.
When in reality, the body is reacting to something being fed every single day.
Feeding your dog a balanced, species appropriate diet with quality ingredients can:
✔ support the immune system
✔ reduce inflammation
✔ improve skin and coat
✔ help prevent recurring issues
Which means fewer vet visits, less medication and a healthier, happier dog 🙌
This isn’t about being perfect, it’s about being informed.
Because what you put in the bowl matters more than most people think 🐾
