Hottest day for the Hottest 100

Yes, it’s that time of year to gather and listen to Australia’s highest voted songs, as the annual Triple J Hottest 100 count down gets underway this afternoon. Not only that, but this year's count down has coupled itself with a scorcher of a day for Tasmania.

Please remember to ensure appropriate arrangements have been made for your pet if you are hosting an event or planning on heading out.

We hope everyone stays safe and has a happy New Year’s Eve tonight.

As much as we may enjoy fireworks, some of our pets feel very differently and can become quite anxious due to the noise and lights.

Below are some tips to help any anxious pets with the 2 fireworks displays tonight, 9.30pm and midnight.

🐾 Close the blinds and ensure your pets are kept inside
🐾 Try and have the tv or radio on for white noise to help settle and distract them
🐾 Ensure your pets microchip details are up to date in the event they do escape the house
🐾 If your pet is on any short acting medications (designed for these sorts of anxiety inducing events) ensure these are given 1.5-2 hours before the fireworks start.

A busy little Christmas Eve with the nicest patients today.

Fingers crossed Santa Paws visits all of these fur babies, as they certainly deserve to be spoilt!

We'd also like to thank all of our wonderful clients who came in and gifted us sweets and treats.

We're certainly lucky to have such a supporting community!

Merry Christmas everyone ❤️
