Unfortunately due to the intake of so many strays (including pregnant or recently had kitten mamas) and surrenders SCA are having to close thier doors which means they CANNOT continue to help the community and save any more souls.
What you can do:
- consider adopting a new kitter from SCA rather then a funded rescue like RSPCA,
- donate to SCA, any dollar value will make a difference, if you are not comfortable doing that you can enquire via messege on other donation ways to help via partnered vet clinics,
- become a foster carer with SCA! All supplies needed are given, unless ofcourse you decide to spoil your new foster with extra goodies 😇
- be responsible for your cats by ensuring you microchip them, desex them and keep them inside,
AND dont forget on the weekend of 22nd and 23rd we will be at Petstock on Anzac Avenue in Toowoomba from 10am - 2pm with a sausage sizzle, cold drinks and some handmade nick nacks for sale so come support SCA that way!
🐈⬛ there will also be a few kittens inside up for adoption that might just win you over OH and ill be there to chat your ear off 🤪
Sadly we have over-committed 😞 and due to the unexpected loss of some of our most active carers, and excessive vet account balances, we are temporarily closing our doors to intake. It was bound to happen, as we just can't continue to take in cats and kittens without resources, yet it is an expectation by many that we must.
To those who have happened upon my personal phone number - I do not answer calls from unknown numbers, nor do I respond to unsolicited voice or text messages. Please note: We will NOT be responding to messages for intake in the immediate future.
