Puppy socialisation can take many forms, each playing an important role in a young dog’s behavioural development. Supervised play is particularly valuable, as it provides puppies with the opportunity to build confidence, learn appropriate social cues, and develop positive interactions in a safe and controlled environment.
Sherlock and Casper, both young , demonstrate the benefits of this approach. Through their engaging back-and-forth play, they are able to practise communication skills, understand boundaries, and reinforce appropriate play behaviours. Their interactions highlight how structured, supervised social experiences can support healthy emotional and social development in puppies while ensuring their safety and wellbeing
