Come work for one of the best breakers in the industry, Matt Vella.
This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic person who wants to work within a good working environment and improve their knowledge and experience with some lovely quality horses of all ages and stages of their careers.

Duties include but not limited to;
🧹cleaning boxes/yards
🧹saddling and hosing horses
🧹general day to day handling of horses including young horses

The ideal person we are looking for would be able to;
🐎 above award wages
🐎work well with our fun and experienced staff
🐎be reliable
🐎follow instructions
🐎ideally have horse experience but experience within the racing industry would be a bonus!

🚨🚨MUST BE ABLE WORK EVERY SECOND WEEKEND.

Stand My Ground was an impressive winner at Newcastle today in the Inglis Xtra Bonus mile maiden under Tyler Schiller. Tyler has such a good association with the stable and gave the well-supported favourite every chance in the race with a move around the 500m to put the filly right in the race.

It was great to get the win for Dr Crosson and the ownership group after we travelled down to Victoria for an Inglis Xtra maiden and had to scratch the morning of the race.

The North Pacific filly was having just her second career start and her first run of the prep. She’s a filly we’ve got a lot of time for and think she can end up in some of the fillies staying races to close out her Classic year.

Well done to our team at Hawkesbury who put in the work each morning. The great start to the year continues.

DID YOU KNOW...

-for every 1 centimeter of extra toe length- this results in an extra 50 kilograms of force acting on the tendons

-1 degree drop in sole angle where the DDFT inserts into the coffin bone (affected by Palmar Angle) can lead to a 4% increase in the pressure exerted by the DDFT on the Navicular bone
