The clinic used to be a BP Service Station and was converted to a Veterinary Clinic by well-known Geelong Football Club player, Rod Blake. The clinic was taken over by Sally Adams up until 2009 when Geelong local Sally Upham bought it and renovated it. In 2014 Chloe McGillivray, Bryan Benshoof and Nev Hooper took over and are continually trying to improve and grow the clinic. Many loyal clients ha

ve been bringing their pets to us ever since the clinic first opened its doors as they know their pets are in such great hands. The staff at North Geelong Vet Clinic are passionate about their jobs and they will love your pets, just like you do. They are committed to providing your pets with the highest standard in veterinary care and to ensuring that your pets live a healthy and pain-free life. The staff are also dedicated to supporting, educating and helping you to be the very best owner that you can be. The more educated you are, the more illnesses that can be prevented for your pet. The clinic underwent a complete transformation recently to include state of the art equipment and modern facilities to ensure that the North Geelong Vet Clinic keeps up with the advances in technology and that your pets are treated using the highest quality methods.

Signs of skin issues 🔬

Troubles with our pets’ skin can be some of the most frustrating! What feels like never-ending licking and scratching can become bothersome for both owners and pets alike.

Signs to look out for include:
🧴 Excessive scratching, licking or biting at skin.
🧴 Bald patches in either one area or multiple.
🧴 Unsettled in behaviour, reluctant to relax.
🧴 Dry, flaky or red areas of the skin.
🧴 Unpleasant odour from either one area or more general.

Keeping pets warm in winter ❄️

If you’re feeling the cold this time of year, it’s possible your pet is too! While this can be dependant on species, breed and coat types, keep your pet in mind on the chillier days.

Ways you can keep your pets warm include:
🌧️ Provide extra blankets for added warmth.
🌧️ Raise their bed off the ground if outside.
🌧️ Keep them cosy in jumpers and waterproof coats.
🌧️ When outside, ensure they have adequate shelter.
🌧️ Walk during the warmer part of the day.
