The clinic used to be a BP Service Station and was converted to a Veterinary Clinic by well-known Geelong Football Club player, Rod Blake. The clinic was taken over by Sally Adams up until 2009 when Geelong local Sally Upham bought it and renovated it. In 2014 Chloe McGillivray, Bryan Benshoof and Nev Hooper took over and are continually trying to improve and grow the clinic. Many loyal clients ha

ve been bringing their pets to us ever since the clinic first opened its doors as they know their pets are in such great hands. The staff at North Geelong Vet Clinic are passionate about their jobs and they will love your pets, just like you do. They are committed to providing your pets with the highest standard in veterinary care and to ensuring that your pets live a healthy and pain-free life. The staff are also dedicated to supporting, educating and helping you to be the very best owner that you can be. The more educated you are, the more illnesses that can be prevented for your pet. The clinic underwent a complete transformation recently to include state of the art equipment and modern facilities to ensure that the North Geelong Vet Clinic keeps up with the advances in technology and that your pets are treated using the highest quality methods.

Deciduous tooth removal 🦷

Occasionally, baby teeth fail to fall out as adult teeth are coming through. This can cause issues such as overcrowding, a painful abnormal bite (malocclusion) and rapid decay of the teeth.

Like in sweet Rudy’s case, this means the teeth need to be manually removed by a veterinarian. Thanks Dr Bryan! 🧡

Surgery day stay 🩺

For some, the thought of leaving a pet for surgery can be daunting. Knowing what is happening while your pet is with us for the day can help hopefully alleviate some feelings of worry!

🧑🏼‍⚕️ Patient is admitted in the morning and examined by the surgery veterinarian.
🧑🏼‍⚕️ Patient is given pre-surgery medication including sedation and pain relief.
🧑🏼‍⚕️ Intravenous catheter is placed to administer anaesthetic and fluids.
🧑🏼‍⚕️ Surgery is performed and the anaesthetic is monitored by a nurse.
🧑🏼‍⚕️ Patient is monitored while waking up in warm bedding and given pain relief.
