Dear clients, colleagues and friends of Windarra Park,
To say that the past year has been challenging for me would be an understatement. Many of you may be aware that not only have I been pouring my heart and soul into trying to establish our new purpose-built facility (which we had intended to move into by now), but I also got dealt a cancer diagnosis in March, which meant I had to take a step back from my normal schedule to undergo treatment.
As we move forward into the new year, I’d like to give my heartfelt thanks to everyone who stood by me and continued supporting the clinic despite reduced hours, random appointment times and some extra huffing and puffing as my fitness gradually left the building 😅. Continuing to see patients and feeling that sense of purpose kept me motivated on the harder days. Special mention to my repro clients, who patiently waited for me to return after surgery (being so inconveniently scheduled smack in the middle of the season) - your loyalty and show of confidence means more that you will know.
To our local vet community – thank you for your show of support, check-ins, and covering for me when needed!
While I will still need to be devoting some time to the new build and my ongoing treatment plan in the coming months, I am hoping to be able to increase my hours and resume full time work very soon.
May 2026 be the year in which I come back stronger than ever and we can finally launch our new clinic and services!! 😁
Wishing everyone a happy, healthy and successful new year. Here’s to the Year of the Horse!
