It’s been a tough few weeks at Darby. We’ve lost two beautiful geldings to ill health and unfortunately they belonged to the same owners. People and their equine besties become part of our family here and it’s a huge blow to lose anyone let alone two in the space of a few weeks. It is by far the worst part of owning an agistment property and our hearts are with the owners. Run pain free Freddy and Bon Bon. Until we meet again xx

Dan and I are very lucky to have such fantastic people who agist their precious horses at Darby Lodge. All of them are special but shout out to one who’s much more craft oriented than me. Thank you Valerie Grace. You have taken some stress off my shoulders before Ali and I leave for Tamworth and I really appreciate it.
Also to all the helpers who’ve put their hands up to help while I’m away. Super super grateful to you all. Our Darby lodge community is a wonderful one for sure.

We regret to inform any enquiries that we are currently full for agistment.
We won’t be accepting any new equine friends if a space becomes available until after winter due to paddock rotations and seeding for hay in certain paddocks having been done

Yesterday was a tough day for our Darby family. We lost one of the bestest boys around. I’m pretty sure everyone he met along the way he left with an amazing impression. He was big, strong, athletic and a very good communicator about where he wanted you to scratch. I am a privileged person to have known him for many years, not just when he arrived at Darby Lodge.
You have left a big hoof sized dent in all of our lives Ocean. Go frolic in the afterlife mate. Dan and I send our love to Kel at this time.

I’m the luckiest girl in the world to be able to call this gem mine. She is so happy plodding out and exploring and it fills me with confidence to take her out on the roads around our property. Love you Suki
