Itās definitely a different world now. Perhaps a compromise with old and new could be an amazing goal. š
Parents, open your eyes.
A teacher was grading homework. Her husband, meanwhile, was walking around the house glued to his smartphone, immersed in his usual game.
When she reached the last paper, the teacher began to cry silently.
ā "Whatās wrong?" ā her husband asked, surprised.
With tears in her eyes, she replied:
ā "I had asked my students to write an essay titled 'My Wish.' The last one broke my heart..."
Curious, the husband asked:
ā "What did it say?"
The wife began to read:
"My wish is to become a smartphone. My parents love their smartphones so much. They hold them, take them everywhere, and look at them for hours. When Dad comes home from work, he talks to his phoneābut not to me. If it rings, they pick it up immediately, but if I cry⦠they often donāt listen. They play with their phone, but not with me. When I speak, they donāt hear me⦠because theyāre talking to someone through the screen. Thatās why I⦠really wish I could be a smartphone."
The husband fell silent. Then he asked:
ā "Who wrote this?"
The wife looked him in the eyes.
ā "Our son."
No further words were needed.
Children donāt ask for much. Just presence, love, and attention.
Phones can be recharged. Childhood memories cannot.
Turn off your phone.
Turn on your heart. ā¤ļø
