As breeders, our choices are never accidental. When we look for the "perfect" sire to move our program forward, we sometimes look to the legends of the past.
A Grand Champion in the show ring with a pedigree rooted in both hunting and show lines, Axel was the rare balance of beauty and grit, and I adored him.
But his true legacy isn't just in his titles—it’s in his remarkable genetics.
In this video, you’ll see his daughter Brindi at 13 years old. She is still every inch an active Shorthair. Her movement and energy at this age are a testament to the "old school" durability we strive to preserve. Her sire consistently produced offspring like her - dogs that excel in the field, shine in the ring, and remain vibrant companions well into their teens.
