These two sleepy sows were born early this morning from my sow Karaage.
Cambridge has definitely impressed me with what he has produced 🥰
Now some tough decisions 😣🤣

It’s been a real baby boom here with 4 alpacas and 5 Peruvians having been born from 4 mums here over the past week! I have tried to stagger these litters over 6 months but instead everyone fell pregnant all at once 🤦‍♀️
We still have 2 more sows to go before I really sit down and decide who I’m keeping from all the babies. There are already some clear stand outs.

Some babies need time to unfurl and fill out from the womb and can take some time to be a cavy I decide to retain.

Other times, like the sow pictured here, you can immediately see the quality. Her equally impressive siblings are going to some very deserving people who have helped me out over the years. I can’t wait to see how this trio of siblings grow up 🥰

Anybody want to place their bets on who will pop first? 🫣

Carnivalé Kiss Me has been paired with Eramosa Cosmical. Kiss Me is Ellowyne Gracie’s Monacco last daughter so I’m very excited to see what she will produce. While not a spitting image, she has all of Mon’s features which I adore; big bold eye, droopy ears and a thick luscious coat.

Carnivalé Babylon has been paired with Carnivalé Cambridge (roan 😍). Babylon is from an equally sentimental line and brings a whole different set of qualities to the table; a cobby body, thick full chops and a sweet personality.

Anyway I’m very excited and am checking on them multiple times a day 🤣 I need to learn some patience lol.

Some piggies 👀🏡 details and genders on the photos

I also am contemplating retiring some adult sheba and peruvian sows.

You’ll perhaps notice some of these pigs don’t look pedigree 😉 At the start of the month, I took on around 20 cavies, that needed some TLC before finding their new family. These guys have bounced back and feeling so much better and less itchy than they were before.

This little girl has already been so loved before she was born. 🥰 A flashy, perfect sized 120g singleton who is already suckling and getting doted on by Auntie Kmart.
From Carnivalé Danny and Carnivalé Kawaii, this girl has some of my favourite pigs in her lineage.

She is my second show line sow to be born this year after a series of bad luck and only boars born. I am very excited to watch her grow ❤️
