Black Range Feeds sample tests (by hay corer) different types of hay from various producers of native and non native hay. Only hay that has been tested by the Equi - Analytical forage lab in the USA and which has a sugar content (Ethanol Soluble Carbohydrates plus Starch) of less than 10 % is sold as suitable for horses at risk of dietary induced laminitis. New seasons Teff hay available. $25 per small bale. Native grass hay $27. Both tested at Equi-Analytical lab in USA. Both suitable for horses or ponies with EMS or who are prone to lamintis (EMS plus Starch < 10%). Pick up near Great Western at mutually convenient time. Lab results available upon request.
