After much reflection, I have made the decision to take a step back from horse training and educating for the time being. Life has become increasingly busy, and after careful consideration, I’ve realized that prioritizing my personal happiness and goals is essential. While my passion for training will always remain, I recognize that balancing my personal life, my horses, and my busy beauty business has become increasingly difficult.

I want to assure everyone that I am still available to guide and help as many riders and horses as possible through clinics, as well as private or group lessons with their horses. My dedication to educating and training remains strong, but for now, I must put my personal needs and my beauty business at the forefront. It has become challenging to even find the time to ride my own horses, which has been a wake-up call to reassess my priorities.

Last year, some may know, I briefly stepped back from training, but I didn’t openly communicate this at the time, and I continued taking horses on here and there, as I wanted to still offer my expertise. However, I’ve reached a point where it is clear to me that I need to fully step back for a time. I’ve had the honor of receiving incredible reviews and referrals, and I take great pride in my work with horses, but this time, I must take a break to focus on myself, my horses, and my other business ventures.

I trust that you will understand when I say that sometimes, you know when it’s time to take a step back. I will certainly return to horse training in the future, but for now, I am closing this chapter.

I truly appreciate everyone’s support during this difficult decision, and I am grateful for your understanding.

For those of you with horses booked in or currently with me, I will continue their training as planned until we’ve had a chance to discuss and make arrangements. I will personally reach out to you to ensure a smooth transition.

One thing that has stuck with me is a quote I heard in college “when you work with your own horse go into your training session as if you are working on a clients horse” I don’t think I fully understood the quote until I started working with more and more client horses.

It’s so much easier to cut a horse slack when it isn’t your own. We hold our horses to a higher standard because we have these huge goals for them and we believe they can achieve them. At the end of the day we need to remember they are still just a horse.

When you go into a training session with no expectations and no frustration you will get a lot more done!
