Hi there, I'm Robert and I hope that you and your dog are well. No other species has adapted and bonded to humans than our canine friends. This makes them very special indeed as I'm sure you already know. Whilst every dog is unique, they are all made up of bones, muscles and organs underneath. Your dog has around 320 bones and 700 muscles, with the muscles making up around 40-50% of your dogs weig

ht. It's the muscles that I'd love to be able to help you and your dog with. I believe that a number of different issues can be helped by stimulating appropriate muscles with various massage techniques. Scientific research has shown many benefits of massage therapy including;

Relieve muscle tension

Increase flexibility and motion range

Improve blood and lymphatic circulation

Help prevent injury and illness

Alleviate pain

Assist in recovery after surgery and exercise

Improves mood

Reduce anxiety

Just like us, dogs will enjoy many benefits from receiving a massage.

It's official. Next month I'll be chatting with Dr Harry from BH&G about canicross and canihiking. I'd love to have as many dogs (and their humans) participate in the shoot as possible and highlight the diversity of breeds participating in the activity, as well as the people. Also, if you have an interesting 'cani-story' eg a rescue or behavioral change that cani has helped, or even a human one (why you started), please send me a DM with a brief summary. We want to spread the word about cani and all its benefits. At this stage filming will be in Ourimbah State Forest on Monday 14th late morning for a few hours (possibly an earlier morning session on the Gosford waterfront). We are showcasing canicross so you should have the appropriate gear. More details will be sent as they become available.
