Had some really good success today training Winnie, a 60kg Rotti. Beautiful natured, but any 60kg dog is going to push your limits. I’d say that 99% of the time it’s training the handler and that only comes with experience. That is why we mostly do one on one sessions. Today's session was walking on loose lead, heeling while walking and recall. Big tick on all three today. Well done Winnie, and Winnie, if you happen too be reading this, your growl doesn't scare me 😀

Tracking people. I know its not our main role, but had a phone call from a lady who had lost her dogs in Little Mulgrave and desperate for someone to do a search. Is anyone keen to give it a go? She is willing to pay for your time. It would be fairly rough terrain id say. Give me a ring and ill put you in touch and advice. Id try and help, but am at work. Dave

Apologies to all those that are chasing appointments with QK9A. We have been absolutely overwhelmed with the interest and are getting some great results in all areas. It has been a little difficult juggling full time work as well as getting to the the QK9A appointments, however somehow we are managing to fulfill most of our bookings. Obviously in 3 weeks time there will be many more appointments open up as well as courses for both tracking, scent work and Canicross . So stayed tuned. To the current tracking dog handlers, I will be organising a time for you all to come down so I can continue where we left off. Once again apologies if you have had trouble securing an appointment....changes are coming. Dave 🐕‍🦺
