Hiiiiiiiii!

My name is Tubbitha and I like to smile. A lot.

My mum was hit by a car and killed in a very remote part of Victoria on a freezing cold night. Luckily a kind lady stopped to check my mum’s pouch before I got too cold, the temperature often drops to below zero I’m told.

But now that I am safe; I try to focus on becoming fuzzy, strengthening my leg muscles and practicing my cheesy grins.
Apparently I’m hard work because I’m starving hungry every four hours… but I’m so happy so does it even matter?

What do you think of my latest teefy grin? 🤓

Nigel is so loved and had a life like no other Wombat.

Life without Bronson is quiet, darker and sad.

It still astounds me that a little life can consume so much of your own. There is an emptiness without him. He held so much character, exuded so much energy and bounce.

I am lucky that Beatrice and Landon don’t seem to miss him as much as I do.
When I refer to them or go and feed them they are still “The Three” and I think they always will be.

Thank you as always for your patience and I hope to be more present on here for you all.

It hurts when a human mother wombat buries a baby wombat she has cared for.

Bronson died in my arms this morning.

We don’t know what happened. He deteriorated so quickly and we think it must have been related to the tummy issues he suffered when he first came into care.

You probably know we don’t normally share these kinds of things so know that it’s not easy to write this. But we think it’s important to acknowledge as it makes the happy, thriving and bouncing moments so much more special to us.

Please send your love and strength to Baby Landon and Beatrice as we support them through their grief without their protector Bronson Bear.

It is one year of Baby Landon. This Little Life with a huge personality has changed my life.

There are many words I need to and want to say to you all but for now please enjoy this beautiful character and see how he has grown and thrived!

When you don’t get a Christmas stocking so you make your own...

Maybe it’s the year for it, maybe it’s just the right time. People keep asking how I am.
I reply “I’ve definitely been better..”
Then something else happens, so it keeps being true.

However, the most important reasons are okay, all of the little lives are thriving and loving.
My little Mim and family of loved ones are the important reasons that keep this small tribe growing and happy.

We couldn’t do it without your love and support and again I am truly sorry for not getting back to you all and regularly sharing our purpose.
