Hey fellas in the district. You may be interested in participating in this research project.

"Hello! My name is Emily Sullivan, and I am reaching out to ask whether the Gundy Men’s Shed would help assist me with research on men’s mental health. I am from Gundy, however am currently studying psychology in Brisbane. As part of my Psychology Honours I have chosen to write my thesis on men’s mental health. I am needing about 200 adult men who currently live in a regional, rural or remote area of Australia to complete my 10 minute survey. So far I am only at 80 responses out of 200, so I was wondering whether the Gundy Men’s Shed would help to spread the word. I would greatly appreciate your assistance, and have attached the survey link and a copy of my study graphic for your reference.

I am currently in gundy visiting my family until Wednesday, if you would like to discuss further.

Opening times Gundy men’s shed:

Monday to Friday 9am to 11.30 am Saturday from 1pm to 4pm

All visitors welcome.

With the new showground boom gates in place, you have these options if you wish to visit us.

1. Leave your car at the parking bay at front gate and walk to the shed.

2. Access every Wednesday from 9am to 11am for deliveries or pick up’s from the shed through the locked gate at at front entrance.

A member of the shed will meet you at the gate to unlock, but you are asked to please phone either Mac Rose 0450456053 or John Pitt 0400060283 prior to arrival.

Sadly, these access restrictions have been imposed upon us and are out of our control.

How long our Men's Shed can remain operational in the Goondiwindi community with these new access restrictions is concerning.

There is always plenty of woodworking going on in the shed...and we always have plenty of sawdust. If you can use sawdust for your Guinea pigs or caged birds or whatever, come and collect it before it goes to the dump.
