This week we say goodbye to a very special member of the Barry Sheppard stable — our tough old warrior, Fitzroy Boy. 🐎💚

Since joining our ownership group in October 2020, this boy has given us so many memories, laughs, road trips, celebrations and stories we’ll never forget.

Fitzroy Boy wasn’t just a racehorse… he was a fighter. After surviving a horrific stable attack early in his career, he showed incredible courage and resilience to continue racing and doing what he loved most. His toughness and heart is something we will always admire.

Over his career he gave connections: 🏆 8 wins 🥈 10 seconds 🥉 5 thirds 💰 Nearly $100,000 in prizemoney
But to us, the stats only tell a small part of the story.
Thank you Fitzroy Boy for every gallop, every nervous watch, every cheering finish line moment and for bringing so many people together through racing.

A huge thank you as well to Barry Sheppard and everyone involved in caring for him over the years.

Enjoy retirement, Roy — you’ve more than earned it. 💚🐴

This handsome 3YO chestnut gelding by Headwater, out of a Raischek, is the newest addition to our stable and we can’t wait to follow his journey 🏇

Our number 1 strapper Ash Gorrie is taking on the challenge to cut her beautiful hair to raise much needed funds for the Cancer Councils cancer support services.

Ash has been inspired by her Aunty Kate who is currently suffering from brain cancer and if by doing this means helping a foundation that not only helps research but also supports those living with cancer, she would do it over and over.
