20th February – SprintDog Trial #3 🐾💨

Dream did it! 🔥

Not only did she come back even faster again, hitting 41km/h over the 100m 🚀 but this trial had me SO nervous. If she passed both runs she would earn her very first SprintDog title… and I wanted it for her so badly.

She blasted down the track like an absolute rocket, completely locked onto that lure — but in her second run, my heart nearly stopped when I saw her heading straight for the pole 😅

Luckily, at the very last second she dodged it perfectly, powered through the finish, and completed her run like a total superstar.

And just like that… TITLE EARNED!!! 🏆💨

I could not be prouder of this incredible girl. From her first trial to this moment, she has just gone from strength to strength.

Now officially known as:

CH. RUSHINROUND A DREAM BALANCE N.SPRD 🐺✨

My lightning fast girl ⚡💨 Thank you to all of our helpers and supporters. You know who you are and we appreciate you sooo much 🥰

7th February 2026 – SprintDog Trial #2 🐾🔥

"Eat my dust" 🤣 Dream got a taste last time and came back quicker.

40km/h average over 100m 💨🚀
Faster than her first trial — and looking stronger every stride. Another qualification!

I had to laugh… the lure slowed near the finish so she angled in, ready to claim it — then it suddenly sped up again and she let out the sassiest little growl mid-chase like “don’t you dare!” 🤣

That intensity, that attitude, that natural Yakut drive shining through 🐺✨

The photos say it all — locked in, loving it, completely in her element ❤️

So proud of my fast (and feisty) girl. She’s just getting started 💨

12th December 2025 – Dream’s first ever SprintDog trial 🐾✨

I went into this not even knowing if she would run… and she came out and absolutely OWNED it.

The second that trash bunny moved? 💨🐰
She locked on and switched into another gear - completely ignoring me with her favourite cucumber toy 🥒 🤣

38km/h over 100m.
2 runs.
Fully qualified!

For her very first trial!! 🚀🔥

That natural Yakut drive, the focus, the determination — this is what she was built for. Powerful, fast, and completely in her element.

I am SO incredibly proud of this girl. From “will she even run?” to smashing her debut like that… what a moment 🥹❤️

This is just the beginning 💪✨

Dream did it again ✨

At the Dogs Qld Junior Handler Committee Show 1 on 5th April 2025, under one of our favourite judges, Mrs Julie Ireland 💕

🏆 Bitch Challenge & Best of Breed (7pts)
🏆 Puppy in Group

It was such a special win under a judge we admire so much — that made it even sweeter 🥰

We shared the video before (because we couldn’t wait 😅), but here’s the official photo from the day, the win video again, plus some clips from Puppy in Show 🐾✨

So proud of this 9-month-old superstar. Although we didn't win puppy in show, I think she would have come a close second! She just kept showing up and giving her all 💕

Big day out for Dream at the Warwick Show & Rodeo Society on 21st March 2025 under Mr Serge Tassan (QLD)🏆✨

⭐ Best of Breed
⭐ Puppy in Group

Only 9 months old here and already stealing the spotlight 🎊🐾

BUT… plot twist…
Looking at the photos afterwards of our Puppy in Show lap around the ring, I realised I was giving the judge a very unplanned rude gesture due to my (still) injured finger and how I was holding the lead... WOOPS!! 🤦‍♀️😂😱

So yeah… Puppy in Show was probably never happening after that HAHAHA.

Dream: flawless angel. 😇
Me: accidental menace. 😈

✨ Gold Coast Kennel Club – January 2025 ✨

Ever seen red clouds before?

The Gold Coast Kennel Club, our local kennel club, held its shows on 24–25 January last year, and the atmosphere was just magical — stunning weather, glowing skies, and Dream (at 7 months old) shining in the ring (even through her first coat change).

✨ Results:

24th January
Judge: Mrs Matina Butcher
🏆 Best of Breed (8pts)

25th January – Show 1
Judge: Mrs Ruth Thompson
🏆 Best of Breed (8pts)
🏅 Minor Puppy in Group

25th January – Show 2
Judge: Mrs Anne Raymond
🏆 Challenge Bitch (6pts)
🏅 Minor Puppy in Group

Across the 3 shows, Dream achieved 2 x 8pt Best of Breed and 2 x Minor Puppy in Group — such a special local show for us.

I still can’t get over those incredible pink skies and lighting in the clouds… unforgettable. ⛅️⚡️💗

My boy 💥Kolo💥 Now 2.5yrs

He may not be the “perfect” show dog.
He may not be the ideal breeding prospect.
But to me… he’s very special.

Kolo was my first Yakutian Laika, and from the very beginning, he was the shy one in the litter. The quiet boy who hung back while the others pushed forward. And I remember looking at him at 6 weeks old and just knowing — he wasn’t going to be the easy, flashy pick… he was going to be the one who needed the most love and support from a new owner.

So I chose him.

Not because he was the best show dog, but because his heart was something special and the way he looked at me was like I was his whole world 🌎 who else would give him the time and attention needed to bring out his spark and help him to become a confident, well rounded dog? I couldn't think of any family better.

And I’ll be honest — sometimes we make decisions that might not be the “perfect” fit for our goals or needs. Sometimes a dog doesn’t turn out the way we imagined as a show prospect. But that doesn’t mean you just throw them away when things get hard.

Dogs aren’t disposable. They aren’t trophies. They’re family.

Kolo’s temperament, his gentle soul, his silly antics that brighten even the hardest days… he has a way of making life feel lighter. He has taught me resilience, patience, and the kind of love that isn’t based on ribbons or perfection — but on commitment and understanding.

My first Yakut. My once shy boy that I helped become strong and confident. The one everyone said could never enter the ring because he was too scared... Well he is my reminder that you can still succeed with work and patience. We worked hard and now he is the most confident at the show! Sometimes the “not perfect” ones often become the most unforgettable and teach you the most lessons.

And honestly? He still surprises me.

Every win feels like magic, because he doesn’t walk into the ring with pressure… he walks in for fun. We never expect anything from him, and somehow that makes every success even sweeter.

No matter what.. I love my imperfect boy Kolo 🤍💥

Throwback to last year with my two Yakuts, Kolo & Dream 🥰🐾
These two are so incredibly special to me — they make me laugh and smile every single day, and we always have the best time together. They truly hold the key to my heart ❤️

I’m so lucky to be their owner. They make grooming, training, and loving them feel so easy ✨
Each one with their own unique spark… and I wouldn’t have it any other way 🐺✨️

It was so hot at the Beaudesert Kennel Club long weekend of shows - luckily we took extra fans, cooling mats and water buckets for the dogs (hence the scruffy coats as they enjoyed the wet cold mats 🤣). For this show, we didn't win anything at group level, and it didn't surprise me since, unfortunately, the South African group judge had never seen the breed before 😢

But I'm very happy with the weekend overall where Dream won 3/4 BOBs and picked up another 20 points towards her GRAND Champion title 🎊 Kolo just comes out for fun 😁

**Good news is Dreams coat is finally growing back (but still slowly.. 🐌)
