WANTED: Pony with Personality

Location: East Coast (happy to travel)
Budget: Around $3k (flexible for the right pony)
Height: Ideally 11–13hh (may consider slightly bigger)
Age: 4–15 years
Home: 5⭐️ private home, welfare-first, experienced trainer
Use: Light riding + gentle wellness & life-skills sessions
Temperament: Curious, people-oriented, “in-your-pocket” type

I’m looking for a very special pony to join a 5⭐️ home with me.

This pony will be:
• Loved and lightly ridden by my nieces (infrequently)
• Helping facilitate 2–4 gentle wellness and life-skills sessions with children and women each week
• Living an easy, enriched life with top-quality care, facilities, and pampering
• Going on the occasional adventure outing (beach, walks, new environments)

Height:

Ideally 11–13hh. The pony will share a paddock with my goats, so nothing too large.

Temperament is everything.

I’m looking for a pony who is:
• Curious, inquisitive, and genuinely “in-your-pocket”
• Enjoys attention, interaction, and being fussed over
• Kind and people-oriented on the ground

I’m an experienced trainer, so I’m open to:
• Unbroken ponies
• Ridden ponies with quirks
• Fidgeters, characters, and busy brains

What I’m not looking for is a shut-down pony who stands quietly because they’ve been made to. I value spark, personality, and kindness.

Think the pony who steals rugs off other horses, gets into the feed room, fiddles with gates, and would happily walk through the front door if allowed.

Soundness:

Sound within reason. This pony won’t be in full competition work, so this could suit one that doesn’t pass a vet for higher-level work that has some age on it.

I’m very welfare-first and happy to have open discussions. I won’t consider a young pony with limitations, but an older, “been there” pony ready for an easy, loved life would be ideal.

The trick I once said, “No way, I’ll never be able to do that on a horse,” ended up becoming one of my best!

Trick riding didn’t just teach me new moves - it taught me to trust myself. I’ve always trusted my horses, but this discipline pushed me to believe in my own strength, balance, and bravery.

This horse and I became a true team - no words, just a silent bond built entirely on trust. 💫🐎

Life really does lead you where you’re meant to be ✨ From the wise old soul kid, to the reckless teen, to my 20s full of lessons, grief, growth and grit.

Now here I am - nearly finished my degree, building a business, and surrounded by an amazing community 🐎💫
I’ve been blessed to be helping people bond with their horses and now teaming up with to bring for those without a horse, to life. 🌿

The best is still to come as expands further into equine assisted learning/wellness 🌸 Atlas has found his calling 💕.

What a beautiful day co-hosting with 33 🌸🐴

There’s something about horses… they don’t need to show up as anything more than they already are. Just by being themselves, they hold up a mirror - showing us what we might be gripping onto a little too tightly, or where we could be standing in our own way.

Around horses, you can’t fake it. You can drop the mask, because they see right through it. The only thing they care about is your energy and that honesty is both confronting and freeing.

That’s the magic of this work. These clinics aren’t about “fixing” anything, they’re about creating space. Space to laugh until your belly hurts, to reflect in stillness, to share stories, and to feel what it’s like to be fully present with an animal who meets you exactly as you are.

For me, this is the heart of it all. Bringing together the knowledge I’ve gathered over the years, through degrees, mentors, research, lived experience, and a lifetime of learning from horses and pouring it into something real, something shared.

Reclaim Your Inner Cowgirl is about connection. With yourself. With others. With horses. And most importantly, with that wild, untamed part of you that knows how to trust, play, and be free.

Here’s to more days like this, filled with reflection, laughter, community, and a whole lot of cowgirl spirit 🤠✨🌿

Happy Father’s Day to all the crazy horse girl dads out there 🐴💙
Forever draining wallets, swapping golf days for show days, and questioning if it’s all worth it, only to realise the memories you’re making are priceless. Thanks for every early morning, late night, and every “just one more pony.” We wouldn’t be here without you. And to my dad, thanks for giving me so many wonderful memories to look back on, I know you’re still watching every horse adventure 😇.

🌸 Picollo would have been 29 today. For 14 years I was blessed with the greatest gift I could have ever been given. He filled my teen years with endless memories and is the reason behind it all.

Even in retirement, he followed me around the country, always by my side and always there when I needed a shoulder to lean on. Beyond grateful for every moment with my beautiful boy. Forever my heart horse. 🌸
