Meet your future scaly best friend, the Bearded Dragon! 🦎🐉 Here’s what you’ll need to keep them happy and healthy:

🪪 Licensing: in Australia to own a reptile you’ll need to obtain the right permits. If you google Queensland wildlife license, you’ll be able to find all the details. Your license will cost less than $65 and last for five years. there is a standard specialised in advance, you will only need a standard.

Enclosure Size: For an adult bearded dragon, you’ll need a minimum of a 120cm long enclosure, with plenty of room to move and bask comfortably. Make sure it’s properly ventilated and secure.

Diet: A balanced diet is key! Bearded dragons thrive on a mix of live insects (like crickets and mealworms), leafy greens (kale, collard greens), and some fruit (mango, berries). Don’t forget calcium and vitamin D3 supplements!

Temperature: Bearded dragons need a warm basking spot (35-40°C) and a cooler side (around 25°C) in their habitat. UVB lighting is crucial for their health.

Enrichment: Add rocks, branches, and hiding spots to mimic their natural desert environment. They love exploring!
