✨REHOMING✨ Update: Rehomed ❤️

We have made the incredibly difficult decision to rehome our beautiful Golden Retriever boy, Prince. 🤍
This is a decision that has not been made lightly, and we are absolutely heartbroken. We love Prince dearly, but we also know that sometimes loving a dog means putting their happiness and needs first.
Prince will be 3 years old in September. He is the most gentle, loving and caring soul, with such a beautiful nature. He absolutely loves his people, going on big walks, exploring and having plenty of space to run around and burn off his energy.
Since welcoming our baby, life has changed so much, and unfortunately we have struggled to give Prince the time, exercise and attention that his energetic personality needs. We want to find him a home where he can truly thrive and get everything he deserves.
We would ideally love to find a small family or couple with a large backyard, acreage or property, where he has plenty of room to run and someone who can give him the time and companionship he needs.
Most importantly, we are looking for a loving, safe and forever home for our boy. Someone who will love him, care for him and treat him as part of the family. 🤍
We have unfortunately lost contact with Prince's breeder, so we are unable to rehome him through them and are hoping to find the right person through our own network.
Please, if you or someone you know may be the perfect home for Prince, please comment below about yourself. We want to take our time and make sure we find the right fit for him.
This is incredibly hard for us, but we know that finding Prince the home where he can be his happiest is the most loving thing we can do for him. 🐾🤍

Hi, we’ve just had a baby and the poor dogs have been sidelined quite significantly. I’m looking for a day care for the golden near mermaid beach, ideally with other goldens that he can run around and be an idiot with. Can you make any recommendations? Thanks 🐶

✨CONNECT ✨

I have a very sociable Golden Retriever myself and have been to a few meetups, but I know it’s not always easy to tell who might be open to connecting outside the group meetups. Sometimes people may not feel comfortable exchanging numbers with someone they’ve only just met, even if they would be happy to chat or meet again.

I believe there are many people who would like an easier, no-pressure way to find other like-minded dog owners nearby — whether that’s just to chat online, organise a doggy playdate, or go for a walk at a time that suits them.

That’s why I built a free site called Connector Tag.

It’s really simple to use. Users choose a city, such as Gold Coast or Brisbane, and then add tags like “Dogs” and “Golden Retriever”.

If two users share 2 or more tags, they instantly match and can send direct messages on the site. Users can also see each other’s profile picture, if uploaded, and whether someone has been online recently before starting a conversation.

So it’s different from the group meetups, as it focuses on 1-to-1 connection and simply gives members another way to connect directly if they would like to, without needing to exchange phone numbers.

The site has only been launched for a week, and there are new users joining every day on the Gold Coast. I’m still looking for more people to test it out and provide feedback through the app.

Hello! I was hoping to reach our GR Community can help me to find a dog trainer that has experience with goldens. Specifically to help build some 'manners' and impulse control around our human toddlers. (Said toddler is also been trained 😆)

✨REHOMING POST✨

Sadly, we have made the difficult decision to rehome our beautiful Golden Retriever, Bonnie.

Bonnie turned 4 years old in February. Unfortunately, her breeder passed away a few years ago, so rehoming through the breeder is not an option.

Bonnie is a loving, gentle girl who thrives in a calm environment. She is quite anxious, and when our second baby arrived, the change became overwhelming for her. The baby is now 2.5 years old and things have not changed. She is currently living with family members, but they are unable to keep her long term.

We are looking for a special home where Bonnie can feel safe and settled. ideally a quiet household with someone who is home often and another dog. Bonnie absolutely loves other dogs, especially Golden Retrievers, and gets along with cats too.

While Bonnie is very loving of children, she can become worried and stressed around young noisy kids, so we feel she would be best suited to a home without small children. Older teenagers would likely be fine.
