Coolangatta-Tweed Urban Farm Community

Coolangatta-Tweed Urban Farm Community We are a grass roots community group working together to create an urban farm in our region This fosters an amazing sense of community.

Wouldn't it be awesome to spend a couple of hours gardening, go for a swim or a surf and then harvest some fresh veggies for dinner on your way home? It's the perfect healthy lifestyle we all need - and it's happening right now here in Coolangatta! We have created a beautiful, professionally-designed Urban Farm that benefits the entire community. We also aim to provide education on sustainable an

d regenerative farming methods, along with regular workshops on various aspects of home gardening. In addition to scheduled gardening days for our members, we organise social gatherings, fostering a strong sense of community. The produce grown is shared with everyone rather than having individual plots. You can join up by filling in our membership form here: https://www.ctufc.org.au/join or come along on Thi or Sat mornings from 9:30am (QLD) to join onsite

🔥🌌 Winter Solstice Celebration Saturday 21st June

One of the most magical nights of the year is around the corner: our Winter Solstice Celebration! And this year, we’re inviting the whole community to join in!

🗓️ Date: Saturday, 21st June
⏰ Time: Starting at 4 PM
📍 Entrance: Scott Street Gate

The Winter Solstice marks the shortest day and longest night of the year. A time of reflection, renewal, and connection with nature. Around the world, it’s celebrated with fire, food, music, and light. As the earth begins its slow tilt back toward the sun, we gather to welcome the light together ✨🌟

Here’s what to bring to join the fun:
🧺 Your trusty picnic basket, packed with all your favourites
🍲 Yummy treats to share (because sharing is caring!)
🔥 Marshmallows or any fire pit goodies for toasting under the stars
💵 A bit of cash for our raffles. Every dollar goes straight back to the farm
🧔 Refreshments to keep you cool (or warm!)
🕯️ A candle or any little light to help set the cosy vibes
🎭 Feel like dressing up? Rock a costume, mask, or funky hat!
🎩 Got party tricks or talents? Bring ‘em on!

🎶 And most importantly, bring your best vibes and dancing shoes for the tunes and fun! 🕺

🌧️ Rain or shine, our trusty Event Crew will be there making magic happen. If the weather’s moody, it’s up to you whether to join the fun. We’ll be ready no matter what! ☀️🌧️⛈️

Let’s come together, celebrate, and make unforgettable memories under the stars. Don’t forget to invite your friends - our event is open to the whole community.

Hello, dear community! 🌿🌎

We hope everyone is safe and well after Cyclone Alfred. Our thoughts are with all those affected, and we send our best wishes for a smooth recovery. 💛

As an urban garden, we are a little green lung for the city—a place of resilience, renewal, and connection. We also want to send a warm message to all the other community gardens out there—we hope you have weathered the storm safely and haven’t suffered major damage. May our shared love for green spaces continue to bring strength and unity! 🌱🌻✨

Take care, stay safe, and let’s keep growing strong together!

As the sun sets over our urban farm, nature puts on a quiet show. The sky glows with beautiful colors, birds sing their last songs of the day, and the city’s noise fades into peaceful silence. This is truly a place of peace—a space to pause, breathe, and appreciate the simple beauty around us. 🌿✨

A hidden oasis in the city, where nature reminds us to slow down and just be.
