Update…she’s returned & seems ok, partner had also been released back from hospital-they are back together!! Yay! 🥳
Black swan missing from nest in Lake Orr near H2O building ….
Last seen last night in her nest, was in a huge fight trying to protect the nest, hadn’t been seen since…
Tag CPP
*partner was taken to hospital earlier in week with fishing hook injury.
Please keep a lookout for her!!!!

Telecommunications Help Needed!

Our Wildcare Hotline now receives over 38,000 calls a year for sick and injured wildlife. The increase in calls has taken its toll on our current technology and our Hotline volunteers are pulling their hair out!

We are struggling to find alternative technology which will enable us to operate the Hotline more efficiently.

Amazing 🫶🦢💕

A report of a young swan found beneath overhead power cables in a field earlier in the week, which is likely to have collided with the electricity lines whilst in flight. The bird has an injury to its beak and was unable to stand, but we are glad to report is making great progress in our care just 48 hours following rescue.
